Elettromedia's new Audison Marine division has introduced the Thesis audio platform, with Hi-Res-certified systems and integrated speaker options for yachts.
Italian audio manufacturer Elettromedia has introduced Audison Marine, a dedicated yacht-audio division, with its Thesis system making its formal debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival. The range brings loudspeakers, subwoofers, DSP amplification, digital sources and control into one coordinated platform designed for use aboard premium yachts.
The launch matters to the superyacht market because audio specification is increasingly tied to architecture, AV/IT networks and the different acoustic conditions of saloons, cabins and open decks. A collection of individual speakers is not enough when designers also need consistent sound, discreet installation and controllable zones throughout a vessel.
The product family includes 7.7-inch and 8.8-inch coaxial loudspeakers, 10-inch and 12-inch subwoofers, DSP amplifiers, digital sources and control units. This gives integrators a common equipment family rather than forcing them to combine unrelated components for each zone.
Audison says the Thesis system carries Hi-Res Audio certification, associated with an extended frequency response up to 40 kHz. That technical credential does not by itself guarantee an excellent listening experience aboard a yacht, where installation, tuning, structural vibration and room acoustics are equally significant.
The INTEGRA speaker versions have been developed to sit more discreetly within yacht architecture, using a distinctive grille pattern rather than a conventional exposed loudspeaker appearance. This can help interior designers accommodate audio in finished spaces without disrupting the intended furniture and material language.
Exterior zones create different challenges because salt, spray, ultraviolet exposure and open-air sound dispersion all affect performance and longevity. Audison says its marine equipment uses suitable hardware and finishes and that DSP tuning allows different spaces to be balanced according to their use.
Elettromedia, whose established audio brands include Audison and Hertz, is extending expertise from automotive and other audio sectors into marine applications. Its stated approach is to treat the yacht as a complete listening environment and integrate the system as part of the vessel specification.
For superyacht owners, captains and AV integrators, the most useful test will be the consistency of the installed system from cabin to sundeck and the ease of day-to-day control. The Cannes debut adds another supplier to the growing market for integrated, design-conscious onboard entertainment systems.
