A newly sold 13m Bluegame BG42, now named PH3, will operate as a fast fishing-capable chase boat for 37m Benetti charter yacht EH2.

A compact sale supports a larger superyacht programme

IYC has completed the sale and delivery of a new Bluegame BG42, since renamed PH3, to operate as the dedicated chase boat for 37-metre Benetti charter yacht EH2. The roughly 13-metre boat was acquired through a transaction in which IYC sales consultant Sebastian Jerolimov introduced the buyer. The sale belongs in superyacht news because PH3 is being integrated into EH2's guest and tender operations, not because it is a stand-alone superyacht in its own right.

A chase boat can transform how a charter group uses a larger yacht by providing a separate platform for coastal transfers, sport and excursions. It also creates additional management demands: crews need clear procedures for communications, weather limits, guest transfers, refuelling and coordination with the mothership. The announcement confirms the operational relationship between PH3 and EH2, without publishing the sale price.

PH3 brings a faster platform for guest activities

The Bluegame BG42 was selected with a reported top speed of 35 knots and equipment aimed at more than simple transport between anchorages. IYC identifies a big-game fishing upgrade as part of the specification, suggesting that PH3 can support an activity that would be awkward or impractical directly from the larger charter yacht.

Speed and fishing capacity should be interpreted within the boat's own operating limits, crew competence and weather conditions. A chase boat may reach an impressive figure in the builder's performance information, but a prudent captain still plans transfers around sea state, visibility and passenger comfort rather than treating maximum speed as a normal charter-service target.

Stabilization and specialist fit-out influence the experience

A Seakeeper stabilizer is among the items fitted aboard PH3, adding a comfort feature that is particularly relevant while guests are fishing or the boat is waiting near an anchored superyacht. IYC describes a substantial package of added equipment, although the press release does not provide a complete inventory or technical drawing for the specific boat.

Integrating additional machinery into a compact chase boat requires attention to weight, electrical loads and available stowage. The mothership's crew will also need to decide how to manage maintenance, safe boarding and any specialist fishing equipment between guest trips. These are operational considerations that can determine whether an exciting tender concept becomes genuinely useful during charter.

The sale highlights a growing separation of onboard roles

EH2 provides the main accommodation and hospitality setting, while PH3 is intended to deliver particular water-based experiences without asking the 37-metre yacht to move each time guests want a fast outing. The combination can increase flexibility, although a separate boat introduces fuel consumption, insurance and crew requirements that belong in the overall charter plan.

The latest event is the Bluegame sale, delivery and renaming, rather than a new listing for EH2 itself. IYC's release establishes the chase-boat relationship, Seakeeper fit-out, fishing edition and reported performance. Exact charter availability, permitted guest activities and conditions for PH3's use should be confirmed through the EH2 charter team before any holiday is booked.
