Fraser cuts the asking price of 38m Gulf Craft Majesty 125 GRAND CRU to €6.4m following upgrades through 2024 and fresh hull paint in June 2026.

A fresh asking price follows a programme of upgrades

Fraser Yachts has announced a revised asking price of €6.4 million for GRAND CRU, the 38-metre Gulf Craft Majesty 125 motor yacht. The brokerage identifies Matthew Lester as the contact for the sale, presenting the yacht as an established vessel with a sequence of recent improvements. The release does not state the immediately preceding asking price, so the exact size of the discount cannot be calculated from the announcement alone.

GRAND CRU has an interior volume of approximately 295 gross tonnes, an important characteristic for a yacht in this length class because gross tonnage reflects enclosed volume rather than weight. It gives a useful clue about how much space the designer can distribute across guest accommodation, technical systems and service areas, but does not replace an inspection of ceiling heights, circulation and machinery access.

Major maintenance work extends through 2024

Fraser says the yacht received extensive work between 2022 and 2024, including completion of its ten-year Bureau Veritas class survey. In addition, the hull was given fresh paint in June 2026. Those milestones offer potential buyers identifiable documentation to request and can help establish how the yacht has been maintained beyond cosmetic presentation.

The effects of a class survey and recent paintwork should not be overstated. The survey confirms work at a particular time under an applicable regime, while coating condition depends on preparation, exposure and later use. A purchasing team should still examine the current survey status, technical records, paint warranty and any outstanding recommendations before committing to a transaction.

Commercial potential calls for separate due diligence

The broker describes GRAND CRU as commercially compliant with Bureau Veritas class, alongside zero-speed stabilization intended to improve guest comfort at anchor. Those characteristics can support a yacht's attractiveness for private cruising or charter-related plans. They are not, by themselves, evidence that the vessel has every licence or approval required to operate commercially in a proposed destination.

Buyers considering charter income should investigate the complete regulatory framework, including applicable flag requirements, local permissions, crewing, maintenance reserves and insurance. Charter use can alter a yacht's duty cycle and staffing requirements. The resulting costs and owner-use restrictions are just as material to an investment decision as the initial asking price.

The Majesty 125 remains a substantial private platform

Gulf Craft's Majesty 125 is designed as a raised-volume motor yacht rather than a compact express cruiser, making it relevant to owners who prioritize guest space and comfortable time at anchor. GRAND CRU's current positioning rests on that existing platform combined with defined recent improvements and an updated financial entry point.

The new €6.4 million asking price is a market invitation, not a verified sale result. Fraser's statement gives the yacht's length, model, approximate gross tonnage and several maintenance milestones, but no independently confirmed transaction terms. The strongest next step for interested buyers is a full onboard inspection supported by an independent condition survey and the vessel's service history.
