Burgess has announced a €550,000 price reduction on the 46.4-metre Feadship motor yacht Constance, bringing her asking price to €12.95 million. Built in 1986, the yacht recently completed a four-month refit at Pendennis and has also undergone her Lloyd's Special Survey.
The work included a full rebuild of the main engines and a wider programme intended to prepare the yacht for her next ownership cycle. For buyers considering pedigree Northern European yachts, recent machinery and survey expenditure can materially change the comparison between an established yacht and a newer alternative.
Constance was built by Feadship with exterior design by De Voogt and an interior associated with Glade Johnson. Her 418 GT volume is arranged to accommodate 12 guests in five cabins, giving the yacht the kind of proven guest layout that has supported long-term use in this size range.
The yacht's age places particular importance on the quality and documentation of refit work rather than the launch year alone. A recent yard period, class survey and engine rebuild provide prospective buyers with a clearer picture of the technical baseline from which future operation can be planned.
The reduction brings Constance into a more competitive position within the market for pedigree yachts in the mid-40-metre segment. Buyers in this category typically weigh build quality, refit history, operating condition and replacement cost alongside headline age and asking price.
Burgess is marketing Constance following the latest investment programme and price adjustment. Her combination of Feadship construction, established design pedigree and recent technical work makes the yacht a useful measure of how well-maintained older yachts continue to compete with more recent builds.
