51m Feadship PROMISE. Reduced by €5 Million to €54.95m

The 51-metre Feadship PROMISE. is now asking €54.95 million with Edmiston after a €5 million reduction. Delivered in 2018 and extensively refitted in 2025, the yacht combines Feadship construction with unusually serious cold-water capability.

The price movement follows a reported €6 million refit completed in 2025, giving the new asking figure more significance than a routine adjustment on an unchanged older yacht.

Feadship explorer credentials

PROMISE. was the first Feadship to achieve Ice Class 1E and carries a Lloyd's Polar Ship Certificate. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure were engineered by De Voogt Naval Architects, while twin Caterpillar C32 engines support a 4,500-nautical-mile range.

Edmiston quotes a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and an 11-knot cruising speed. Tier III emissions compliance adds to a technical package aimed at long-distance operation.

€6 million refit completed in 2025

The 2025 programme covered paint, systems and interior upgrades. PROMISE. accommodates 10 guests in six cabins, including two master suites, and carries separate staff accommodation.

Her bridge-deck aft area is structurally approved for helicopter operations with an EC135 or aircraft weighing up to three tonnes. A heated freshwater pool, guest elevator and extensive tender and toy inventory reinforce the expedition specification.

New asking price reshapes the comparison

At €54.95 million excluding VAT, the €5 million reduction changes the comparison with both younger brokerage yachts and new custom projects. Buyers are assessing a recently refitted Feadship rather than a yacht awaiting major technical renewal.

A completed transaction would provide a useful benchmark for late-model Feadships with explorer credentials and substantial recent refit expenditure.
