44.2m Feadship Philosophy Reduced to €23.5 Million

Aug. 26, 2026 Sale Moon Sand Feadship

Phoenix Yacht Management has reduced the asking price of 44.2m Feadship Philosophy from €25.5 million to €23.5 million excluding VAT.

Phoenix Yacht Management has reduced the asking price of the 44.2-metre Feadship Philosophy to €23.5 million excluding VAT. The new figure represents a €2 million reduction from the yacht's previous €25.5 million asking price.

A 2015 Feadship now offered at €23.5 million

Philosophy was delivered by Feadship in 2015 as hull 690 and originally carried the name Moon Sand. Feadship records a length of 44.2 metres and a draught of 2.75 metres, with naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects.

The yacht accommodates eight guests in four staterooms, with interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell Design. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure are paired with twin Caterpillar C32 engines, while Feadship records a range of 3,850 nautical miles at cruising speed.

Recent work supports the brokerage campaign

Phoenix says Philosophy underwent a full repaint and comprehensive servicing of her major systems during 2024. Those works form part of the brokerage's presentation of the yacht as a maintained and upgraded example of the Dutch yard's 44-metre custom output.

The yacht subsequently completed her 10-year special survey in April 2025, according to the central agent. Phoenix says the survey included detailed inspection of the hull, machinery, electrical systems and safety equipment.

From Moon Sand to Philosophy

The yacht's identity is independently confirmed by Feadship, which lists Philosophy as her current name and Moon Sand as her launch name. The original project combined exterior work by Studio De Voogt with an interior by Bannenberg & Rowell, giving the yacht a deliberately modern profile with classic elements.

Feadship's original material also highlights the substantial owner involvement that shaped the yacht, including large areas of glazing and unusually flexible exterior spaces. Among the project's distinctive features was an aft-deck swimming pool engineered with a movable floor so that the deck could return to a flush configuration when the pool was not required.

Available for viewing around Monaco Yacht Show

Phoenix Yacht Management holds the exclusive central agency for the sale and says Philosophy will be on the Côte d'Azur during the Monaco Yacht Show 2026. Private viewings are being offered by appointment as the brokerage campaign moves into the major autumn-show period.

The dated Phoenix announcement establishes the current €23.5 million asking price for the sale campaign, while the final transaction value will depend on any eventual agreement between seller and buyer. For Philosophy, the reduction places a recently surveyed 2015 Feadship back into focus as buyers and brokers prepare for the September market cycle.
