The 80-metre Feadship Love, formerly Project 716, has been spotted heading toward Rotterdam as the yacht prepares for sea trials.
The 80-metre Feadship Love, previously known as Project 716, has been seen moving toward Rotterdam ahead of sea trials. The transfer also revealed the yacht’s name publicly for the first time as the project approaches the final stages of construction.
Love was launched from Feadship’s De Vries facility in Aalsmeer in August and is scheduled for delivery during 2026. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure enclose an internal volume of approximately 2,450 GT.
The Rotterdam move positions Love for the testing programme that will assess propulsion, manoeuvring, vibration, noise and onboard systems under real operating conditions. Sea trials are one of the final major gates before a large custom yacht can move toward handover.
The yacht began construction in 2022, with the hull emerging from Scheepswerf Slob in April 2025 before transfer to Aalsmeer for outfitting. Feadship has kept many design details private, including the identity of the design team.
Love’s profile includes a near-vertical bow, a broad foredeck and a stepped arrangement of aft decks. The scale of the yacht places her among the larger custom projects currently moving through Feadship’s production system.
Once trials are complete, the remaining work will focus on any technical adjustments, finishing and delivery preparation identified during testing. The yacht’s first season in service will then provide the practical measure of the engineering and owner brief developed over the multi-year build programme.
