Northrop & Johnson reported on 17 September 2026 that the expedition yacht Anne S. Pierce has received a US$1.497 million price reduction and is now asking US$2.95 million. Broker Whit Kirtland is handling the listing, and the company specifies a current length of 36.58 metres in its announcement.
The adjustment is a change in the advertised sales price rather than a confirmed transaction. Superyacht Guide's existing fleet record lists a different length, so the broker's latest dimension should be reconciled with the yacht's survey and registration documents before it is treated as the definitive measurement.
The yacht was originally launched in 1982 at Lunenburg Shipyard in Nova Scotia as a scallop dragger for Clearwater Fish Company. She later served as a research and training vessel for Memorial University before Glovertown Shipyard completed an extensive conversion from 2019 to 2021.
Northrop & Johnson describes the steel-hull platform as extensively rebuilt, with machinery and supporting systems either renewed or overhauled. The conversion included a new pilothouse module, with changes to displacement and stability that make documented engineering and survey evidence particularly important for a prospective purchaser.
The broker advertises accommodation for up to 14 guests in five cabins, alongside crew quarters and a pilothouse with wide visibility. Its description also highlights a deep draught and a hull form intended for demanding cruising conditions, without establishing that every proposed voyage is suitable in the vessel's present state.
Her conversion history and reported equipment specification offer clear subjects for a buyer's technical inspection. Machinery support, fuel and stores capacity, operating certification and the cost of maintaining an older commercial hull should all be evaluated independently of the reduced asking price.
