The Nautical Group has become Azimut Yachts’ official New Zealand dealer and service centre, adding local sales and ownership support across the builder’s range.

Azimut Yachts has appointed The Nautical Group as its official dealer and service centre in New Zealand, giving the Italian builder a dedicated local sales, warranty and after-sales presence. The dealership covers the full Azimut range, including the Grande line of larger yachts, while a new showroom is planned for Mount Maunganui.

The appointment creates a dedicated New Zealand sales channel

The Nautical Group will represent Azimut across New Zealand, supporting clients from model selection and specification through purchase, delivery and ongoing ownership. Azimut’s own international dealer directory now lists the company as the brand’s official New Zealand dealer and service centre at Mount Maunganui.

For owners, the arrangement moves more of the relationship into the local market rather than relying on direct contact with Europe for every stage of the process. Sales support will sit alongside warranty, servicing and ongoing owner assistance, while build and specification decisions will remain connected to Azimut’s production teams in Italy. That local continuity is especially valuable after delivery, when owners need a clear route for technical questions, warranty claims and service coordination rather than having to rebuild the relationship with a separate support provider.

The dealer already has experience with Azimut’s larger models

The Nautical Group says it sold two Azimut Grande 27M yachts within weeks of one another earlier in 2026, including a new-build example from Italy and a pre-owned 2020 yacht. Those transactions gave the brokerage direct experience with both factory delivery and secondary-market ownership within Azimut’s larger-yacht portfolio.

That experience is relevant to SYG because the dealership covers models extending well above the 24-metre threshold, including the Grande 26M, 27M, 30M, 32M, 36M, Trideck and 44M as well as the 28.72-metre S10. New Zealand clients can therefore use one local dealer across both production-yacht and superyacht-sized Azimut platforms. The earlier Grande 27M activity also gives the dealer first-hand knowledge of how larger Azimut owners use and maintain their yachts in the region. That practical experience should be more relevant to buyers than brand representation on paper alone.

A Mount Maunganui showroom will strengthen local brand presence

The Nautical Group plans to open a dedicated Azimut showroom in Mount Maunganui, creating a physical space for clients to review the range and begin specification discussions locally. The company says the interior will draw on Azimut’s design identity rather than functioning as a generic brokerage office.

For a builder whose yachts are produced in Italy, that local point of contact can reduce friction during the long decision process surrounding configuration, construction and delivery. Buyers can work through options in New Zealand while remaining connected to the shipyard teams responsible for the yacht in Europe. A dedicated showroom can also help the dealer build longer-term relationships with owners who may move through several yacht sizes over time. That matters for Azimut because its range allows clients to progress from smaller models into the Grande superyacht line without changing builder.

The move expands Azimut’s Asia-Pacific support network

New Zealand has an active cruising and yacht-ownership community but sits far from the Mediterranean production centres used by most major European builders. Strong regional dealer and service coverage therefore has particular value because warranty work, technical support and ownership assistance can otherwise involve long-distance coordination.

Azimut’s appointment of The Nautical Group strengthens that regional infrastructure while also giving the dealer access to one of the broadest model portfolios in the market. The commercial test will be whether the new structure translates local interest into deliveries and provides the after-sales continuity expected by owners operating large yachts in New Zealand and the wider South Pacific. South Pacific operation can place particular demands on spares planning, service travel and technical response times because cruising areas are widely dispersed. A local authorised network cannot remove those geographic challenges, but it can shorten communication chains and improve preparation before yachts leave major service centres.
