25.6m Azimut Seadeck 9 Makes World Premiere at Cannes 2026

Azimut has brought the 25.6-metre Seadeck 9 to Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 for its world premiere, placing the largest model in the Seadeck range in front of an international audience for the first time. The yacht arrives as part of Azimut’s strongest-ever Cannes presence and sits alongside the Magellano 27M and Grande 44M among the builder’s headline launches for the show.

The Seadeck 9 is positioned differently from Azimut’s more conventional flybridge and crossover models. Its design centres on open living, reduced visual barriers and a large waterside aft area, while the technical platform combines carbon-fibre and GRP construction with triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion and provision for hybrid technology. Azimut presents the model as the flagship of its Low Emission Yacht range, bringing the Seadeck philosophy into the 25-metre-plus market.

The Seadeck range reaches 25.6 metres

At 25.6 metres overall with a 6.3-metre beam, the Seadeck 9 is the flagship of Azimut’s Seadeck family. The official specification lists a full-load displacement of 76.79 tonnes, a 1.88-metre draft and CE Category A certification, placing the yacht within an ocean-capable production framework while retaining the planing deep-V hull form associated with faster cruising.

The hull was developed in collaboration with NAMES and Azimut’s own research and development department. Carbon fibre is used alongside GRP in the structure, continuing a lightweight-construction approach that Azimut says can reduce superstructure weight while supporting interior volume, stability, performance and energy efficiency. The builder describes this combination of weight reduction, efficient hull design and IPS propulsion as central to the Seadeck programme’s lower-emission objectives.

A 60-square-metre Fun Island defines the stern

The defining exterior feature is the Fun Island, a three-level aft arrangement extending across more than 60 square metres. Alberto Mancini’s exterior design turns the stern into a sequence of terraces around a flush plunge pool, with sliding sunpads able to cover the pool and a large platform positioned directly at water level. When the lateral sections are opened, the arrangement is intended to increase the visual and physical connection between guests and the sea.

Azimut also gives the swim platform a practical role. The seven-square-metre transformer platform incorporates dedicated storage for a Jet Ski and Seabobs, allowing the stern to function as both a social space and an equipment-launch area rather than separating those uses into different parts of the yacht. That integration is important to the Seadeck concept because the aft area is intended to remain the yacht’s main social focus throughout a day at anchor.

Interior and exterior spaces are designed to merge

Inside, Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez have developed an interior around what Azimut calls Conscious Design, with natural light and reduced boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Full-height windows and a disappearing side glass door allow the main saloon to connect directly with the aft deck, creating a continuous line from the interior to the water and making the main deck part of the same spatial sequence as the Fun Island.

The accommodation can be configured with four or five guest cabins, providing eight or ten guest berths, plus two crew cabins for three crew. The owner’s cabin follows the same design language, using an eco-resort-inspired treatment and an arrangement intended to strengthen the relationship between the interior environment and life at sea. Azimut’s published specification also lists five or six guest head compartments depending on configuration, plus a separate crew head.

Triple IPS propulsion gives a 30-knot maximum speed

Azimut offers two triple-engine packages. The standard installation uses three Volvo Penta IPS 1200 units rated at 900 hp each, while an optional package increases output to three IPS 1350 units rated at 1,000 hp each. The builder publishes a maximum speed of up to 30 knots and a cruising speed of up to 24 knots under its specified test conditions.

Fuel capacity is 5,800 litres and fresh-water capacity is 1,500 litres. The propulsion layout is matched to a planing deep-V hull rather than a displacement platform, giving the Seadeck 9 a performance profile firmly oriented toward fast cruising even as the design places greater emphasis on quiet operation and time spent at anchor. The combination allows Azimut to pursue reduced environmental impact without repositioning the yacht as a slow-cruising displacement design.

Hybrid readiness supports quieter time at anchor

Azimut has developed the Seadeck family around a wider programme of efficiency measures, and the Seadeck 9 is ready for installation of Volvo Penta’s hybrid propulsion system. In its Cannes presentation, the builder says Mild Hybrid mode is intended to provide silent, smoke-free operation at anchor, complementing the yacht’s emphasis on outdoor living and direct contact with the sea. The January launch announcement similarly described the yacht as ready to receive Volvo Penta hybrid propulsion.

The technology forms part of a broader efficiency package rather than a standalone feature. Lightweight construction, hull development, IPS propulsion and energy-management choices are combined within the Seadeck concept, which Azimut positions as its Low Emission Yacht range and says is designed to reduce fuel consumption compared with conventional yachts of similar weight and size. In practical terms, the approach links the yacht’s environmental positioning to both propulsion and the way guests use the vessel at anchor.

Cannes turns the concept into a public yacht

The Cannes Yachting Festival marks the Seadeck 9’s major public debut after Azimut announced in January that the yacht would be delivered to its owner during summer 2026 and would debut at the show. Azimut’s 4 September Cannes announcement places the Seadeck 9 among the builder’s world-premiere fleet, giving buyers their first show opportunity to assess the finished relationship between the Fun Island, saloon, pool, glazing and accommodation plan.

That makes the debut particularly important for a yacht whose appeal depends heavily on spatial experience. At 25.6 metres, the Seadeck 9 combines superyacht-scale guest areas with a planing performance package, while Cannes provides the first major international setting in which the completed yacht can be assessed alongside competing new models. The public premiere therefore tests not only the technical specification but Azimut’s wider proposition that lower-emission engineering and an unusually open lifestyle layout can occupy the same production-yacht platform.
