Sunseeker Details 45m Semi-Displacement Superyacht with 440GT Volume
Sunseeker has unveiled the 45M semi-displacement yacht concept, combining approximately 440GT, an aft ocean lounge and adaptable upper-deck guest spaces.
The ninth Baglietto T52, identified as hull 10261, has been launched in La Spezia, adding another 52m example to the Italian builder’s displacement range.
Baglietto’s ninth 52-metre T52 yacht, hull number 10261, entered the water at La Spezia on 22 October 2026, according to an account of the shipyard’s launch statement published on 26 October. The ceremony included the owner, family and representatives of Aberton Yachts, which was involved in the build. It is a noteworthy production milestone for a size class where substantial individual customisation remains important.
The new hull follows a series that has established a consistent visual identity through the work of Francesco Paszkowski Design. The recent report identifies the studio with the exterior and also the interior work in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. It would be misleading to assume that all nine T52 yachts share identical interiors, equipment or propulsion arrangements simply because they carry the same range designation.
Launching a yacht confirms that an important stage of construction has been completed. It is not, by itself, confirmation of delivery, commissioning, successful sea trials or acceptance by the owner. The remaining operational milestones may include extensive system verification and finishing work before the vessel enters service.
Baglietto’s own product literature describes the T52 as a steel displacement superyacht with an aluminium superstructure, designed around generous exterior areas and an unusually connected stern. The overall arrangement combines a beach club across several levels with a substantial pool and large social decks. These characteristics help explain why the platform has been repeated while still allowing owners to make individual choices.
The builder has previously highlighted an upper-deck lounge with large openings that connect its seating and dining areas with the outside. This is an attractive architectural idea, but practical use depends on ventilation, drainage, weather protection and the ability to secure large openings. Finished quality must be established by inspecting a particular hull rather than treating model renders as evidence of every implementation.
Earlier T52 press materials also describe a long sun deck and arrangements designed for life beside the sea. The layout is intended to create a useful balance between places for large groups and quieter spaces for the owner. The exact number of cabins, tender handling systems and technical package of hull 10261 should be obtained from its own definitive specification.
Some earlier T52 yachts have been publicly associated with hybrid propulsion configurations, and Baglietto has described electric operating modes for particular hulls. Those performance figures belong to the configurations identified in the builder’s original releases. The available launch information for number 10261 does not, by itself, establish that the ninth yacht has the same machinery or identical electric range.
It is especially important to distinguish a model’s available technical options from the equipment installed in an individual custom order. Fuel capacities, battery systems, generators and operating profiles can differ, altering range and maintenance requirements. Engineers and buyers should request a hull-specific machinery list and commissioning data before calculating operating efficiencies or emissions.
The T52 story also illustrates the continued importance of experienced owner representation. Aberton Yachts’ involvement during construction provides another layer of coordination, but the quality of execution must ultimately be measured through inspection and operation. A launch photograph cannot establish the condition or readiness of systems that are largely concealed below decks.
The nine-hull milestone adds to evidence that the shipyard has maintained a recognisable production line in the 50-metre class. It should not be equated with nine completed deliveries on the same date, nor with a new firm order in October. The newest news is the launch of an already contracted vessel, and the timeline must be described accordingly.
For industry observers, the next useful information will concern technical handover, the final exterior and interior details and the shipyard’s confirmed delivery announcement. Those facts will show the individual identity of number 10261 rather than simply the commercial success of the underlying series. Until they are published, performance and owner-specific choices should remain unconfirmed.
The recently launched yacht makes the T52 an active production story rather than a concept. Its significance lies in a mature design platform, extensive customisation and the work required to move a 52-metre steel yacht into service. As with every substantial new build, the launch is an essential moment but only one part of the journey from design to dependable cruising.
