Benetti has launched the 44-metre Lumina in Viareggio as Azimut Benetti advances a major investment programme across its Tuscan superyacht facilities.
Benetti has launched the 44-metre Lumina, the latest yacht in its Class 44M family, using the traditional slipway ceremony at Viareggio. Delivery is planned for summer 2026 after completion of commissioning and final work.
Cassetta Yacht Designers created the four-deck yacht with an emphasis on natural light, privacy and comfort during extended cruising. The model sits within Benetti’s broader production range rather than the fully custom programme used for its largest yachts.
The ceremony was used by Azimut Benetti to underline the importance of Tuscany to its superyacht operations. The group says production value doubled from €758 million in 2020 to €1.56 billion in 2025 as demand and industrial capacity expanded.
That growth is being supported by further investment in technical expertise, manufacturing facilities and engineering. Viareggio remains a central part of the group’s plan alongside Livorno and other specialist production sites.
Although Lumina belongs to a repeatable model family, large-yacht production still relies heavily on local craft and specialist suppliers. The slipway launch therefore has both commercial and regional significance for a district built around generations of marine manufacturing.
Benetti is using the Class 44M to combine a developed platform with owner-specific detailing. The latest launch shows how the yard is pairing that product strategy with long-term investment in the Tuscan facilities that support it.
