Benetti Sells Seventh 42.5m Oasis 42M for 2029 Delivery

Bristow-Holmes has announced the sale of Hull Number 7 of the 42.5-metre Benetti Oasis 42M to a long-standing private client. Construction is due to begin in 2027, with delivery anticipated for the beginning of 2029, giving the buyer and project team roughly two and a half years to develop the final yacht before handover.

The transaction extends a client relationship that Bristow-Holmes says has lasted more than a decade and now covers five yacht transactions. Harry Bristow-Holmes represented the buyer, while Roberto Corno and Matt Walford represented Benetti, with Alex Teji of Teji Cowie and his team assisting during contract negotiations.

Hull Number 7 joins the Oasis 42 order book

The sale is distinct from Benetti's earlier launch of the Oasis 42M model and represents a new-build order rather than a resale of an existing yacht. Bristow-Holmes identifies the contract as Hull Number 7, placing the announcement within the production run of a model that is still at the pre-delivery stage for this particular client.

Bristow-Holmes says this is the fourth new-build Benetti commissioned by clients of Harry Bristow-Holmes, while the buyer in this transaction has completed five vessel transactions with the brokerage over more than ten years. Those two figures describe different relationships and should not be conflated: one concerns Benetti new builds handled for clients, while the other concerns this buyer's broader history with the broker.

No contract value has been disclosed, and the buyer has not been publicly identified in the official announcement. The commercially important confirmed facts are therefore the hull number, buyer representation, planned 2027 construction start and anticipated early-2029 delivery rather than any estimate of price or ownership profile.

Benetti's 42.5-metre platform

Benetti's current technical page lists the Oasis 42M at 42.5 metres overall with an 8.5-metre maximum beam and a 2.05-metre maximum draft. Full-load displacement is given as 295 tonnes, while the yard states a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, positioning the model for extended cruising rather than short-range coastal use alone.

The yard credits RWD with exterior design and concept, Bonetti Kozerski Architecture with interior and deck design, and Pierluigi Ausonio with naval architecture. Those roles matter because the Oasis 42M is not simply a stretched version of an earlier yacht; Benetti presents it as a further development of the Oasis family with revised spaces and a stronger focus on flexibility, wellness and connection with the sea.

Accommodation information differs slightly between the two official sources. Benetti's current model page lists ten owner and guests in five cabins with accommodation for eight or nine crew in five cabins, while the Bristow-Holmes sale announcement describes up to 12 guests across five cabins; the project-specific final arrangement has not been published in enough detail to resolve that difference.

The Oasis Deck remains the defining feature

At the centre of the model is Benetti's Oasis Deck concept, which extends the usable aft area from the beach platform toward the main-salon entrance. The yard describes the arrangement as a continuous social space intended to keep guests visually and physically connected to the water rather than separating the stern into a conventional sequence of cockpit, stairs and bathing platform.

A swimming pool sits within that aft layout and uses an enclosure system that allows the pool area to become part of a continuous deck when it is not in use. Benetti's own description emphasises that adaptability because it allows the same footprint to change character during a day on board, moving between swimming, lounging, dining and open-air entertaining.

The main salon is designed around a 270-degree panoramic view and connects directly with the Oasis Deck. Forward on the main deck, Benetti has also created a well-being area with opening terraces, giving the model a second strong outdoor relationship away from the stern and allowing fitness or relaxation functions to be configured around the owner's preferences.

A long build period now begins

For the buyer, the sale is the start of a project rather than the end of one. Bristow-Holmes says construction is due to commence in 2027 and delivery is anticipated at the beginning of 2029, leaving a substantial period for technical coordination, interior decisions, equipment choices and the detailed owner requirements that distinguish one semi-custom yacht from another.

The broker says it will work with the client and owner's team throughout the next two and a half years to ensure those wishes are realised. That language indicates an ongoing buyer-representation role through the build, but the announcement does not disclose the project's chosen options, colour scheme, equipment list or any departures from Benetti's published standard and optional arrangements.

The extended schedule also means the yacht will enter service into a market that may look different from the one in which the contract was signed. For now, however, there is no basis for speculating on future resale values or charter positioning; the relevant development is that another Oasis 42M slot has been committed and a defined delivery window has been set.

Why this sale matters for the Oasis programme

Hull Number 7 provides another indication that the Oasis concept has moved from a design statement into a repeatable production proposition at the larger end of Benetti's fibreglass range. The 42.5-metre model combines substantial interior volume with the open-stern lifestyle language that has become closely associated with the Oasis family, while retaining the five-cabin structure expected by many private owners.

The sale also highlights the role of long-term brokerage relationships in new-build transactions. Unlike the purchase of an immediately available brokerage yacht, a project with construction beginning in 2027 and delivery in 2029 requires the buyer, broker, yard, technical advisers and legal team to remain aligned over a prolonged period in which decisions can affect specification, programme and final acceptance.

Bristow-Holmes has not released the buyer's final customisation package, so the yacht should not yet be described as having project-specific features beyond those confirmed for the Oasis 42M platform. What is confirmed is that Hull Number 7 is sold, Harry Bristow-Holmes represented the buyer, Benetti was represented by Roberto Corno and Matt Walford, and the build is scheduled to move into construction in 2027 ahead of an expected early-2029 delivery.
