Cantiere delle Marche has appointed Filippo D. Buonpensiere as Sales Manager as the company expands its commercial capacity and international market presence. The appointment moves a long-serving member of the organisation into a more direct client-facing role.
Buonpensiere has spent around six years working through different parts of the shipyard’s operation. His experience includes practical yard work, preparation for international boat shows and involvement in used-yacht transactions.
CdM has emphasised that the appointment is built on hands-on knowledge rather than a purely commercial background. Buonpensiere has combined work at the yard with university study, including an internship at CdM and a study period in London.
Founder and President Ennio Cecchini described the progression as an example of the company culture developing talent internally. For a custom shipyard, sales staff who understand production and operations can communicate more realistically about what a project will require.
The new role also reflects CdM’s effort to retain a personal, owner-driven approach as the business grows. Explorer-yacht clients often remain closely involved in technical decisions, making continuity between sales, design and construction particularly valuable.
Buonpensiere’s sailing and surfing background gives the appointment another direct connection with the maritime lifestyle around the product. CdM expects that mix of practical experience and commercial responsibility to support relationships as its order book and international profile continue to expand.
