Cantiere delle Marche has delivered the 35-metre Deep Blue 115 Octopus to experienced American owners. The handover completes a highly customised explorer-yacht programme developed around a clear brief for capable long-range cruising.
The project brought together the Ancona shipyard with designer Horacio Bozzo, interior designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and the brokerage team at IYC. CdM says the owner’s previous yachting experience gave the team a detailed operational brief from the outset.
Octopus belongs to the Deep Blue family but carries substantial owner-specific development. The collaboration focused on balancing the rugged engineering expected from a CdM explorer with refined guest spaces suitable for extended private use.
That combination is central to the yard’s current approach to explorer yachts. CdM builds around proven technical principles while allowing exterior details, interiors and operational spaces to be adapted closely to each owner’s cruising programme.
With delivery completed, Octopus moves from construction into the phase that will test the yacht across real cruising conditions. Experienced owners can be especially demanding at this stage because their previous vessels provide a practical benchmark for handling, storage, systems and crew flow.
For Cantiere delle Marche, the handover adds another completed Deep Blue project to a fleet increasingly recognised for compact explorer yachts with serious range. It also reinforces the shipyard’s relationship with American owners and brokers in a market that remains important to its order book.
