D-Marin has partnered with ult. Insurance to connect yacht owners at its UAE marinas with specialist cover reviews, placement, claims assistance and a dedicated contact.
D-Marin has introduced a yacht-insurance and risk-management referral service for owners using its United Arab Emirates marinas through a partnership with ult. Insurance. The company announcement, dated 14 September 2026, identifies ult. as part of the Chedid Insurance Brokers network and positions the arrangement as an extension of the marina operator's customer services.
The service connects customers with insurance professionals who can review each vessel's requirements and provide access to marine policies suited to its operation and individual risk profile. D-Marin is presenting this as a customer offering, not announcing that every berth holder automatically receives insurance or that any particular claim is already covered.
According to D-Marin, the partner can examine existing policies to identify possible gaps and explain the relevant terms, exclusions and conditions. Owners may therefore use the arrangement to compare their current coverage with the way they actually operate and berth their yachts.
The operator also cites possible collective buying power from placing cover for multiple vessels, which it says can help secure broader terms and more competitive pricing. These are potential placement advantages stated by the company, not a guaranteed premium reduction or a published tariff applicable to every yacht.
The announced package includes specialist claims-management assistance, with support from initial notification through the subsequent handling process. D-Marin says a dedicated point of contact is intended to simplify communication across policy placement, servicing and claims.
Claims outcomes remain governed by the signed insurance contract and its exclusions, deductibles, warranties and notification requirements. An owner planning seasonal movements or charter activity should establish exactly which territories, activities, crew arrangements and cruising limits a proposed policy covers before relying on it.
For a yacht based in the UAE, insurance needs may extend beyond hull damage to third-party liability, crew, tenders and the consequences of interruption or an incident at berth. Rather than assume all these exposures are covered, owners and managers should request a written schedule and obtain professional advice appropriate to the yacht's flag and operating circumstances.
The partnership is specifically described for customers of D-Marin's UAE marinas; it should not be represented as an automatic insurance product for the operator's entire international network. No universal price, underwriting commitment or guaranteed claims settlement has been disclosed in D-Marin's announcement.
