A reported interview indicates Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio is considering selling one of two yachts, but no named vessel or confirmed brokerage listing has been identified.

A comment, not a completed listing

Italian yacht-industry reporting has drawn attention to remarks by Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio about the possibility of selling one of his two yachts. The comments were attributed to an appearance on the Pulp Podcast, where questions of owning and operating large vessels under the Italian flag were also discussed. The report does not establish that a new public brokerage listing has been issued.

One yacht receiving attention is the 72-metre Admiral-built NO RUSH, a Giorgio Armani-designed project that changed hands in a private transaction in 2025. Crucially, the owner did not identify which of his two yachts might be sold. It would therefore be inaccurate to announce NO RUSH as formally available, identify a selling broker or quote a current asking price without separate confirmation.

Why NO RUSH attracts market interest

The 72-metre yacht is a distinctive example of a builder and fashion house working together on a bespoke project. According to previously reported project details, it has a steel displacement hull, aluminium superstructure and substantial private and guest accommodation. The interior involvement of Armani/Casa gives it a design identity that differs from more conventional layouts at the same length.

Those characteristics make the vessel significant to observers of the highly customised yacht market. They do not, however, provide a reliable present-day valuation. A reported historical transaction amount, construction cost or owner's comment cannot automatically be turned into a legitimate sale asking price. Nor should speculation about one potential seller be interpreted as an indication of a wider disposal trend.

Operating costs enter the conversation

The reported interview also raised the high costs associated with owning large yachts and maintaining an Italian flag. Such figures can be difficult to interpret without knowing which liabilities have been included, especially when tax, registration, employment, insurance, maintenance and annual capital expenditure are described together. Broad statements about annual costs should not be reproduced as verified vessel accounts.

Owners of bespoke superyachts normally face recurring decisions about where to berth, which technical work to schedule and how to staff a vessel throughout the year. Financial and regulatory considerations can influence whether an owner keeps, replaces or sells a boat. They are not proof that any one specific yacht has been offered to the market.

The evidence to look for next

A confirmed sale announcement would ordinarily identify the yacht, its appointed representative and at least some agreed marketing terms. Until that happens, the strongest accurate account is simply that a possible disposal has been discussed publicly, with NO RUSH mentioned in subsequent industry coverage as one potential candidate.

The published photographs of NO RUSH illustrate the vessel that has attracted attention, not a verified active sales listing. Superyacht Guide will distinguish such owner commentary from brokerage activity because doing otherwise risks misleading purchasers, brokers and readers about the status of a privately held asset.
