Feadship Catalogue Distinguishes 66m HAMPSHIRE From 71.5m VANISH

The name VANISH appears on two successive Feadships, and their hull numbers are the reliable way to keep the vessels apart. Feadship's official catalogue identifies the 66.25-metre 2016 yacht, hull 809, as HAMPSHIRE today, whereas the 71.5-metre 2021 yacht is hull 819 and retains the name VANISH in the builder's resale portfolio.

Hull 809 is the former VANISH

Feadship records the earlier vessel as a 2016 yacht measuring 66.25 metres overall, with an 11.80-metre beam and a draught of 3.45 metres. The launch name was VANISH, but the builder's present name field reads HAMPSHIRE.

The older yacht's exterior was designed by Harrison Eidsgaard and its naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. Its published fuel capacity is 154,100 litres and its design range is 5,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Hull 819 carries the continuing name

The later VANISH was completed in 2021 and measures 71.50 metres, with a beam of 12.50 metres and hull number 819. Feadship explains that the owner returned for another yacht bearing the same name after buying the earlier 66-metre vessel.

The 2021 yacht's defining architectural feature is a three-deck atrium extending from the main deck towards the sundeck. Harrison Eidsgaard again undertook exterior and interior design, but the hull identity and build year are different.

The current asking price belongs to the newer yacht

Feadship's dedicated resale page lists the 2021 VANISH at €148 million, with accommodation for fourteen guests across seven staterooms. The price and current sales listing refer to hull 819, not to the vessel now called HAMPSHIRE.

The listing describes private use from new and provides a specific gallery and sales specification for that yacht. Attaching those commercial details to hull 809 would create a false brokerage history and distort both fleet records.

Why record matching matters to yacht intelligence

The two yachts share a launch name and overlapping design credits, which makes title-only matching unreliable for automated fleets and article relationships. Builder number, length and completion year should be checked before carrying across prices, photographs or technical specifications.
