Furuno’s TZtouchE series adds 9- and 13-inch networked MFDs with TZ MAPS, radar and sonar integration in a more compact navigation package.
Furuno has expanded its NavNet TZtouch range with the TZT9E and TZT13E, adding 9-inch and 13-inch multifunction displays for vessels that need a smaller helm footprint. The units are designed to retain network capability while offering a simpler entry point into Furuno’s wider navigation ecosystem.
Both displays can integrate radar and fish-finder functions and can also operate alongside larger TZtouchXL units on the same network. That makes them suitable for secondary helms, tenders or compact wheelhouses where space is limited but system integration remains important.
The TZtouchE models use Furuno’s TZ MAPS cartography, combining official hydrographic data with bathymetry, satellite imagery and community-sourced information. Users can purchase chart regions directly for the display and retain cloud-backed route and waypoint data through a My TimeZero account.
Furuno also supplies preloaded NOAA vector charts for coastal US waters, allowing the displays to be used immediately before an optional chart upgrade is added. The network architecture is intended to support radar, sonar and additional onboard data without turning the installation into a large-display-only system.
Furuno positions TZtouchE as a more accessible networked option for sailors, cruisers and motor yachts that do not need the largest premium MFDs. The 9- and 13-inch formats can also reduce dashboard redesign during refits where existing cut-outs or helm space impose limits.
For yacht electronics specialists, the significance is the ability to add a smaller networked station without abandoning the same core charting and sensor ecosystem used elsewhere on board. It gives designers more flexibility when distributing navigation information across multiple control positions.
