Marsa Al Arab Secures Gold Anchor, Clean Marina and Superyacht Ready Status

Three accreditations for one Dubai marina

D-Marin says Marsa Al Arab Marina has secured three industry accreditations: The Yacht Harbour Association's 5 Gold Anchor rating, Clean Marina status and Superyacht Ready recognition. The combination addresses guest service, environmental practices and the marina's capacity to support larger yachts.

The distinctions are issued under specific assessment programmes and should not be treated as a universal ranking of every marina in the region. They nevertheless provide owners and captains with structured third-party indicators when comparing facilities.

Superyacht Ready focuses on large-vessel capability

The Superyacht Ready designation is intended to identify marinas with infrastructure, access and service standards suitable for larger luxury yachts. Marsa Al Arab sits beside Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and is positioned by D-Marin as a premium Dubai destination with dedicated large-yacht support.

A designation does not replace checking an individual yacht's length, beam, draft, power requirements and berth availability. Captains should still confirm those particulars directly before arrival.

Clean Marina addresses operating practices

The Clean Marina accreditation considers environmental measures including waste management and pollution prevention. D-Marin presents the award as part of a broader effort to combine premium guest services with more responsible marina operations.

Environmental certification is most useful when its operating practices continue after assessment day. Owners and crew can also contribute through waste handling, spill prevention and use of approved contractors while alongside.

The recognition builds on earlier regional awards

Marsa Al Arab had previously received a Gold award for Outstanding Emerging Marina at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards. D-Marin says the newer accreditations strengthen the marina's position within its expanding UAE portfolio.
