METSTRADE Expands Marina and Yard Zone for November 2026

A larger space for waterfront businesses

METSTRADE will expand its Marina and Yard Zone at RAI Amsterdam from 17 to 19 November 2026, moving the specialist area into a larger space in Hall 9. The organiser announced the change in September as marinas, yards and suppliers confront investment in facilities for larger and more technically complex yachts.

Its location close to the Superyacht Zone creates a more direct link between operators of waterfront infrastructure and the businesses specifying and using those facilities. The event has not yet taken place, so exhibition plans remain the subject of this report rather than a post-show assessment.

The issues behind the expansion

Marina operators face questions about power supply, energy efficiency, refit capacity and the technology used to manage berths and customer services. Larger yachts can also require more demanding shore connections, access arrangements and support areas than infrastructure built for smaller craft.

METSTRADE says its revised area will bring together equipment, technology and services alongside opportunities to discuss projects and operating practices. The organiser's claims about business opportunities should be distinguished from any measured outcome following the event.

Suppliers meet yards and operators

The specialist space is intended for marina and yard managers, developers, investors and technical suppliers, rather than only for boatbuilders. That matters in the superyacht sector because berthing, refit and shore-side services depend on decisions by several separate organisations.

Visitors can use the exhibition to compare facilities and approaches, but a marketing presentation does not establish an individual product's compliance or suitability at a particular marina. Project requirements and local permissions still need professional assessment.

The organiser identifies Hall 9 and the 17–19 November dates as the core details for this expanded zone. Its separate programme includes technical and networking sessions, with exhibitors and visitors able to arrange discussions during the three-day event.
