METSTRADE 2026 is expanding its Superyacht Zone and Refit Cluster while adding crew training, foiling-technology and leadership sessions in Amsterdam.
METSTRADE says its 17–19 November 2026 edition will deliver an expanded Superyacht Zone alongside a dedicated content programme and the return of the Refit Cluster. The organiser is positioning the area as a business hub for builders, suppliers, captains, crew and refit professionals rather than simply another equipment aisle.
The expansion sits alongside The Superyacht Forum and has input from the Superyacht Industry Advisory Council. The announcement concerns the planned programme, so final attendance and commercial outcomes will only be known after the event.
An interactive session on 18 November will examine professional training, leadership development, onboard mentoring and crew retention. METSTRADE says the workshop will gather direct feedback from senior crew and other professionals to help shape future training discussions.
For owners and managers, crew retention and progression have operational consequences because experience is difficult to replace quickly on a complex yacht. A conference session can identify issues, but it does not create a new mandatory training standard.
Another session on 19 November will consider technology transfer from the America's Cup into superyacht tenders and support craft. The programme highlights electric propulsion, certification requirements and the growing interest in foiling systems beyond elite racing.
Practical adoption will depend on weight, reliability, maintenance, operating area and class requirements. A technology discussion should therefore be treated as a development signal rather than evidence that foiling tenders are already standard equipment.
The Refit Cluster is returning with confirmed exhibitors including Lürssen, Palumbo, Damen Shipyards Group and Pendennis. It is intended to help captains, managers and owner representatives compare complete refit destinations and the supplier ecosystems around them.
