Monaco Yacht Show has released its 2026 post-show figures, reporting 118 superyachts, 560 exhibitors, 30,678 visitors and a displayed fleet worth about €4.5 billion.
Monaco Yacht Show has reported 30,678 visitors to its 35th edition, held at Port Hercule from 23 to 26 September 2026. The event brought together 118 superyachts and 560 exhibitors, placing a high-value collection of yachts and their suppliers into the harbour for four days.
Organisers say fifty of the yachts on display were delivered in 2026, with the fleet averaging approximately 47.5 metres in length. They estimate the value of the displayed yachts at around €4.5 billion, which illustrates the scale of the assets represented without implying an equivalent value of completed show sales.
Exhibitors invited 13,368 private guests, a category including owners, prospective customers and professional advisers. The show also pre-qualified 648 visitors with an active yacht project, according to its own figures, and recorded 56 clients participating in its Prestige VIP Programme with 85 arranged yacht visits.
These measures seek to distinguish business-relevant attendance from general visitor numbers. However, attendance and arranged viewings should not be confused with completed transactions. Yacht purchases and new-build contracts may take months or years to negotiate after an initial introduction.
Some buyers at Monaco are choosing between a new build, a recently delivered brokerage yacht and a vessel that could be adapted through a refit. Organisers point to capacity pressures at established shipyards extending into 2028 and 2029, making delivery timing an important part of the ownership decision.
Fifteen yachts displayed at the 2026 show had reportedly undergone refits during the previous three years. For an owner seeking earlier availability or a particular design, a well-documented existing yacht may be worth comparing with the cost and time of a fully custom project.
Monaco Yacht Show places the worldwide superyacht refit market at an estimated $3 billion to $5 billion annually. The organiser plans to develop that part of the industry through The Future of Refit, scheduled in Monaco from 31 March to 2 April 2027 under the Informa Prestige portfolio.
Refit is not limited to replacing furnishings. It can involve propulsion, interior arrangements, digital systems, safety compliance and major technical work. As yachts remain in service for decades, the ability to adapt them becomes increasingly significant to owners and specialist yards.
Six Blue Wake Award winners were recognised during the 2026 event, continuing the show's emphasis on products and methods presented as improvements in responsible yacht operations. The awards should be assessed by their stated criteria rather than treated as certification of the entire yacht sector.
The headline show statistics indicate substantial activity, but longer-term results will depend on confirmed yacht transactions, actual new-build contracts and future investments. The attendance figures are best understood as evidence of the industry's concentration at Monaco, not a financial sales total.
