Monaco Yacht Show names five Blue Wake category winners and a special yacht prize for 62m sailing yacht SIMENA ahead of its 2026 awards presentation.

Six award recipients named ahead of Monaco

Monaco Yacht Show has named the recipients of its 2026 Blue Wake Awards, recognising five exhibitor categories and a special prize for a yacht. The show lists the winners ahead of an awards presentation scheduled for 23 September, so the announcement should not be mistaken for an event that has already taken place.

Blue Wake is organised in partnership with Water Revolution Foundation, which assesses participating environmental solutions against technical and impact criteria. Monaco Yacht Show says 60 exhibitors were validated for the programme in 2026, with a jury then selecting the award recipients.

Materials, HVAC and refit operations recognised

Bespoke Projects receives the luxury products and services award for GreenCast recycled-monomer acrylic used in yacht interiors and joinery. The nautical-supplier award goes to Termodinamica for its direct-expansion marine HVAC system based on inverter heat-pump technology.

Amico & Co. is named in the builder and refit shipyard category for initiatives at its Genoa facility. The show cites a one-megawatt photovoltaic installation, shore-power provision, wastewater treatment and a structured system for separating and recovering waste.

Tenders and marina restoration feature

Tykun takes the tenders and water toys category for its aluminium-hulled X and XII models, which the organiser says have undergone lifecycle assessment. Its environmental product declaration is described as being in preparation rather than already completed.

Marina Ibiza receives the yacht-services award for restoration work involving Posidonia seagrass meadows. The organiser also gives a special mention to VPLP Design for its Wind Voyage concept, while the cited fuel-saving figures remain project claims rather than independently tested results presented by this publication.

62-metre SIMENA receives the yacht prize

The special yacht award goes to the 62-metre sailing yacht SIMENA from ARES Yachts, whose hybrid propulsion arrangement includes a 220kW electric motor. Monaco Yacht Show highlights battery-supported quieter operation and regeneration while sailing among the vessel's relevant features.

The award identifies a specific technical installation rather than an independently verified comparison with other yachts' total emissions. The winners are due to be presented at Monaco Yacht Show 2026, where visitors can discuss the awarded equipment and initiatives with the participating companies.
