Ocean King Reveals 36.58m Ducale 37 Explorer Design

A new model opens the Ducale series

Ocean King has presented the Ducale 37, a 36.58-metre explorer yacht design intended to open a new range ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show. The announcement was distributed on 18 September 2026 and describes a planned model, not a vessel that has already launched or been sold.

The concept combines a full-displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a bulbous bow. VYD Studio is responsible for exterior and interior design, while Arrabito Naval Architects and Italtecnica are named for the naval architecture.

Proposed speed, range and machinery

The yard's published concept calls for a cruising speed of 11 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots. Its projected range of 4,000 nautical miles is calculated at an economical ten knots, so the figure should not be interpreted as a measured sea-trial result.

At the design stage, the yacht is listed with a beam of 8.2 metres, draught of 2.45 metres and fuel capacity of 40,000 litres. The proposed machinery is based on MAN V12 engines intended to meet IMO Tier III requirements through SCR after-treatment, but engine number, individual model and output have yet to be specified.

Guest spaces and the wider range

The accommodation plan provides five guest cabins for ten people, with a main owner's suite, two VIP cabins and two other guest cabins. Seven crew are envisaged, while the large aft pool and broad glazing are intended to connect the main living spaces with the sea.

Ocean King also plans a 49-metre Ducale and a larger yacht described by a volume of 799 GT, although detailed specifications for those projects are still to come. Until construction and contract details are confirmed, the three designs should be treated as product plans rather than announced deliveries.
