Zeelander 8 Brings 24m-plus Dutch Yacht to Monaco Yacht Show

Zeelander Yachts has brought its largest model, the Zeelander 8, to the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, placing the 79-foot Dutch yacht alongside the international superyacht market in Port Hercule. The builder lists the yacht at Quai Chicane C24 for the show, which ran from 23 to 26 September.

At 79 feet, or just over 24 metres, the model sits at the lower boundary of the superyacht sector rather than in the smaller production-yacht category. That makes Monaco an important venue for Zeelander as it presents the boat to owners comparing compact superyachts with larger semi-custom vessels.

Flagship crosses the 24-metre threshold

Zeelander publishes a length overall of 79 feet, with a 6.6-metre beam and 1.6-metre draft. Accommodation includes nine berths, while the builder quotes a range of 630 nautical miles depending on operating conditions and specification.

The model can be configured with quad Volvo Penta D13-IPS 1200 or 1350 propulsion. Zeelander lists a top speed of around 40 knots, although actual performance depends on load, sea state and final engine choice.

Quiet running remains a design priority

The Dutch builder places particular emphasis on sound reduction, quoting less than 65 dBA depending on engine choice and operating conditions. Noise is increasingly relevant to compact superyachts where machinery spaces, guest accommodation and social areas are physically close together.

That figure is a manufacturer specification rather than an independent sea-trial result. Owners comparing yachts should consider the measurement conditions as well as vibration, insulation and cruising-speed noise throughout the accommodation.

Monaco brings the model into the superyacht conversation

The Zeelander 8’s appearance at Port Hercule gives owners and advisers an opportunity to assess the yacht directly against vessels from much larger custom yards. Its proportions and performance place it in a different category from 50-metre and 80-metre yachts, but the buying decisions still involve crew requirements, berth availability, range and operating costs.

Zeelander says production remains deliberately limited at its facility in the Netherlands. That low-volume approach positions the model as an owner-led yacht rather than a high-output production boat.

Compact superyacht ownership

For an owner who wants superyacht-level finish without the scale of a larger vessel, the 24-metre threshold creates a distinct set of regulatory, crewing and operating considerations. Those vary by flag and use and should be assessed for the individual yacht.

Monaco provides the builder with direct access to the clients and advisers making those comparisons. The Zeelander 8’s presence therefore matters less as another show appearance than as a statement of where the Dutch brand intends its flagship to compete.
