Riva’s largest yacht arrives in Monaco

Riva has brought the 54Metri to Monaco Yacht Show 2026 for its public debut as the largest yacht yet built under the brand. The all-aluminium flagship measures 54.83 metres overall, carries a 9.18-metre beam and is listed at 499 gross tons.

The Monaco appearance follows the yacht’s recent World Yachts Trophies recognition, which Superyacht Guide covered separately. This article focuses on the completed model’s design, construction and technical specification rather than repeating the awards result.

Officina Italiana Design shapes the flagship

Officina Italiana Design, founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, developed the exterior and interior direction in collaboration with Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department. Riva describes balanced proportions, sculpted surfaces and polished steel details as key elements of the new flagship.

Full-height glazing and fold-out bulwarks are used to extend the connection between interior areas, cockpit and sea-level spaces. Inside, the published material palette includes natural teak, Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino marble together with leather detailing.

Twin MTU power and 18-knot top speed

Riva 54Metri is fitted with two MTU 12V2000-M96L engines and is quoted with a maximum speed of 18 knots. The manufacturer has not used the Monaco release to publish a detailed range figure, so Superyacht Guide is not adding an unsupported endurance estimate.

The yacht was developed and built through Riva’s Superyacht Division in Ancona. Its 499 GT volume keeps the project below the 500 GT threshold while moving the brand into a substantially larger aluminium construction programme than its traditional composite range.

A new scale for Riva

The 54Metri extends Riva’s design language into the large-yacht sector without abandoning details associated with the marque’s smaller craft. The Monaco presentation places the yacht alongside Riva 130’ Bellissima, Riva 96’ Argo Super and a restored Aquarama, illustrating the breadth of the current portfolio.

For prospective owners, the important development is the existence of a completed flagship rather than a concept alone. Future 54Metri orders, delivery schedules and owner-specific configurations should be assessed separately as Riva announces additional hulls.
