Princess Yachts Appoints Terri McCollin as Head of Communications

Sept. 2, 2026 Business Princess Yachts

Princess Yachts has appointed Terri McCollin as Head of Communications, bringing more than 20 years of international communications experience to the British yacht builder.

Princess Yachts has appointed Terri McCollin as Head of Communications, placing her in charge of the British yacht builder’s global communications strategy. The appointment brings more than 20 years of communications experience spanning the United Kingdom, United States and Europe into the company’s senior communications function.

McCollin’s remit covers corporate communications, media relations, executive profiling, reputation management and brand communications. Princess Yachts is therefore consolidating a broad range of external and corporate messaging responsibilities within a role designed to support the company across multiple markets.

More than 20 years in communications

McCollin joins Princess Yachts with more than two decades of experience in communications and public relations. Her career has included work across the UK, US and European markets, giving the company a communications lead with experience operating across several of the regions central to the international yacht business.

Before joining Princess Yachts, McCollin was Vice President at J/PR. Earlier in her career she served as Executive Director of Global Public Relations at Preferred Travel Group, adding international travel and hospitality communications experience to her background.

A global communications remit

Princess Yachts says McCollin will lead its global communications strategy, with responsibility extending beyond day-to-day media relations. The role also includes corporate communications, executive profiling and reputation management, areas that increasingly shape how large yacht brands communicate with owners, dealers, partners and the wider market.

That breadth makes the appointment more than a conventional press-office role. It places responsibility for brand communications and senior corporate positioning alongside media engagement, creating a single communications function with a wide external remit.

Return to the UK in 2025

McCollin returned to the United Kingdom in 2025 after working internationally. Princess Yachts’ announcement also notes that she is fluent in French, an additional asset for a company whose sales, dealer and customer network extends well beyond its domestic market.

The appointment comes as yacht builders increasingly manage communications across product launches, corporate developments, international boat shows and executive positioning at the same time. A senior communications lead with experience across several markets gives Princess Yachts a central point of responsibility for coordinating those strands.

Princess Yachts strengthens its communications team

For Princess Yachts, the appointment adds an experienced communications executive to the organisation while keeping the focus on global brand and corporate messaging. McCollin’s background in agency and international public-relations roles gives her experience across both strategic planning and outward-facing communications.

Her new position is Head of Communications at Princess Yachts, with the appointment announced on 1 September 2026. The company has not framed the move as a change to its wider management structure, but as a communications appointment with responsibility for strategy, media, reputation and executive profiling.
