Quick is running 15-to-20-minute Quick Gyro sea trials at the Genoa Boat Show while presenting recent control and efficiency developments.
Quick Group is using the 2026 Genoa International Boat Show to put its updated Quick Gyro stabilizer range into live sea-trial use. From 1 to 6 October, visitors can book approximately 15-to-20-minute sessions aboard a Nimbus Sport Tender 42, alongside technical briefings on the latest control, power-management and warranty developments.
The demonstration programme operates from Dock E, Booth YE801A, with the Nimbus Sport Tender 42 serving as Quick Group’s demo boat. The company is also exhibiting at Padiglione B, Booth TG20-TH19, giving visitors both on-water and static opportunities to discuss the system.
A sea trial is particularly useful for stabilization equipment because roll reduction is easier to understand through the movement of an actual vessel than through a specification sheet alone. The sessions are scheduled to last about 15 to 20 minutes rather than functioning as long demonstration cruises.
Quick’s current gyro family runs from the X2 through to the X75, with AC and 12-volt DC configurations across different parts of the range. The company positions the products for applications extending from smaller dayboats to yachts and superyachts, including installations using multiple gyro units.
The system uses air cooling, avoiding the seawater circuit and through-hull fittings required by some alternative arrangements. Quick says that approach is intended to simplify both installation and maintenance, including retrofit work where machinery-space access and existing onboard systems can constrain equipment choices.
Recent development has focused on the flywheel, electrical parameters, power management and dynamic-control software. Quick says updated algorithms manage acceleration and torque calibration, while the ECO function is intended to improve energy use during operation and reduce unnecessary electrical demand.
For the X13, X16 and X19, the manufacturer has reported a reduction of more than 30 percent in the time required to reach operating readiness after start-up. That performance update was reported separately by Superyacht Guide previously; the new element here is the Genoa trial programme opening today.
Eligible Quick Gyro models can be registered for a four-year warranty programme, extending the standard two-year cover when the required maintenance conditions are met. Scheduled servicing must be completed through authorised service centres or certified technicians for the extension to remain valid.
Quick is also offering a show-linked promotional rate for qualifying purchases confirmed during the event or following a sea trial through 31 December 2026. Commercial terms can change, so owners and yards should confirm final pricing, eligibility and installation requirements directly with the manufacturer.
