54.4m Romeo 55 Arrives at Monaco Ahead of International Debut

Romeo Marine has brought the completed Romeo 55 into the spotlight at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, where the Dubai-based yard is presenting the yacht ahead of what the show describes as her international debut. The appearance follows a year of development since Romeo Marine first used Monaco to introduce the project and its wider ambition as a custom superyacht builder.

The shipyard now describes the Romeo 55 as ready on the water, while its dedicated yacht page publishes a length overall of 54.43 metres, a 10-metre beam and an approximate gross tonnage of 780 GT. The yacht is designed for 12 guests with 11 crew, giving Romeo Marine a substantial first completed platform as it moves from a new brand story into delivered-yacht credentials.

A 5,200-nautical-mile cruising brief

Romeo Marine lists twin MTU 12V engines rated at 1,080 kW each, with a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. At that cruising speed, the yard publishes a range of 5,200 nautical miles, placing the yacht firmly in long-distance cruising territory rather than treating her as a short-range Mediterranean platform.

A 70,000-litre fuel capacity supports that range claim, while the 2.40-metre full-load draft is relatively moderate for a yacht of this size. As with all builder figures, final real-world range will depend on displacement, weather, hotel load and operating profile, but the published specification makes endurance a central part of the Romeo 55 proposition.

The owner’s suite is built around height and light

Pulina Exclusive Design Studio is responsible for the interior, and Romeo Marine gives the owner’s area particular emphasis. The suite is described with double-volume height, an overhead skylight and a private balcony, using vertical space and glazing to create a stronger connection between the accommodation and the sea.

The same idea continues through a sculptural staircase and panoramic guest lift connecting the decks. Full-height windows and a double-height glass aft superstructure are intended to pull daylight deeper into the interior, while the sundeck adds a pool, bar and barbecue area for open-air use.

Monaco gives Dubai-built Romeo 55 a global stage

The significance of the 2026 Monaco appearance is that the yacht is no longer being presented primarily as a project under development. Romeo Marine’s current show material says the Romeo 55 is ready on the water, and the Monaco Yacht Show has scheduled a dedicated press meeting to spotlight the completed yacht and the people behind the programme.

That distinction matters for a young shipyard because a finished vessel can be judged on build quality, detailing, systems integration and the execution of design ideas that previously existed only in renderings or construction updates. For Romeo Marine, Monaco is therefore both a yacht presentation and a proof point for its Dubai Maritime City production capability.

The 55 also sets the reference for Romeo Marine’s next project

Romeo Marine is using the same Monaco presentation to preview the 60-metre Romeo 60, which is already under construction. The two yachts share the yard’s focus on custom interiors and large-yacht engineering, but the Romeo 60 introduces a different propulsion strategy and a more explicit sustainability brief.

For now, the Romeo 55 is the clearest measure of what the new yard can deliver. Its 54.43-metre length, 780 GT volume, 5,200-nautical-mile published range and highly glazed owner-focused interior give the shipyard a substantial first completed superyacht with which to build its international reputation.
