Sanlorenzo’s first 74Steel, the 73.5m SILVER FOX, has made its world premiere in Monaco as the Italian builder’s largest yacht delivered to date.
Sanlorenzo’s 73.5-metre SILVER FOX has made its world premiere following delivery of the first yacht in the Italian builder’s 74Steel line. At 1,920 GT, the flagship expands Sanlorenzo’s steel range while retaining the yard’s emphasis on proportion, customisation and owner-focused interior architecture.
SILVER FOX is the largest yacht Sanlorenzo has built to date, with an overall length of 73.5 metres and a 13-metre beam. The yacht develops the builder’s steel-and-aluminium superyacht programme into a larger platform while keeping gross tonnage below the 2,000 GT threshold.
Sanlorenzo describes the 74Steel as a highly customisable platform rather than a fixed interior formula, allowing each owner to reshape layouts and finishes around a common technical foundation. That approach extends the yard’s established made-to-measure philosophy into a size bracket with substantially greater engineering and spatial complexity.
The exterior architecture was developed by Zuccon International Project, which gave the yacht a long, balanced profile intended to disguise much of its overall volume. Sanlorenzo’s official material emphasises sculptural lines and controlled proportions rather than using scale alone as the project’s defining feature.
Inside, SILVER FOX uses a calmer palette built around matte woods, fine marbles and gently curved forms across the principal guest spaces. The arrangement includes dedicated owner areas and a substantial wellness programme, reflecting the increasing importance of private retreat spaces on large custom yachts.
The 74Steel platform uses twin MTU 16V4000 M53 main engines, while Sanlorenzo lists a maximum speed of 17 knots for SILVER FOX. Fuel capacity is stated at 160,000 litres, supporting the long-range operational profile expected from a yacht of this size and volume.
The yacht accommodates 12 guests with berths for 22 crew, indicating the operational scale behind the guest experience. Large-yacht projects at this level depend on service circulation, crew logistics and technical access being resolved alongside the more visible design and lifestyle features.
The Monaco appearance gives owners, brokers and industry professionals their first public opportunity to assess the completed first 74Steel in detail. It also moves the project from an earlier design and construction story into the delivered-fleet phase, where the platform can be judged as an operating yacht.
Sanlorenzo already has further 74Steel development underway, including the highly customised second unit Virtuosity. The arrival of SILVER FOX therefore establishes the baseline for a flagship family that is expected to evolve through substantially different owner briefs on the same large technical platform.
