Smart Yachts lists long-term right-of-use opportunities for a 60m superyacht at Marina Genova and a 53.99m yacht at Port Vauban, Antibes.
Smart Yachts has advertised two significant superyacht berthing opportunities: one for a vessel up to sixty metres at Marina Genova and another intended for a yacht measuring up to 53.99 metres in Antibes' Port Vauban. The broker describes both as rights of use, an important legal distinction from purchasing freehold property or owning a piece of seabed.
For owners trying to secure a long-term base in the western Mediterranean, availability and operational specification matter as much as a marina's reputation. A berth suitable for a particular yacht must accommodate its actual overall length, maximum beam, draft, mooring arrangement and anticipated manoeuvring requirements.
The advertised berth at Marina Genova is specified for boats up to sixty metres long, with a beam limit of eleven metres and a reported depth of six metres. The agreement includes exclusive use of four ground-floor parking spaces for the same contract term, with those spaces described as inseparable from the main berth right.
These dimensions should be checked against the yacht at its loaded draft and the marina's navigational conditions, not simply against its brochure figures. Berth length is only one part of compatibility, particularly if a vessel has prominent stern projections, boarding platforms or an unusually wide superstructure.
The Antibes opportunity is reported as permitting yachts up to 53.99 metres long with a maximum beam of 11.50 metres. Smart Yachts describes the berth as a scarce offering in an established superyacht port with access to regional technical and shore services.
Port Vauban's position on the French Riviera may interest owners whose schedules involve Cannes, Monaco and other nearby destinations, but location alone does not determine value. Crew accommodation ashore, utilities, security, service access and fee obligations all affect whether a proposed long-term berth suits a particular yacht's operating plan.
Neither offering should be described as a guaranteed permanent berth simply because the marketing text refers to scarce availability. Rights of use can carry fixed expiry dates, transfer conditions, annual charges and restrictions determined by the marina and its governing concession. Such provisions may be especially consequential for buyers contemplating resale.
The broker's description provides vessel limits and some ancillary benefits but does not establish final contract terms or universal current availability. Owners should seek the complete agreement, confirm maintenance and mooring charges, and obtain appropriate legal advice before committing substantial funds.
