Burgess takes on an electric Sunreef catamaran

Burgess announced on 7 September 2026 that it had been appointed joint central agent for the 24.4-metre sailing catamaran THE IDLER. The 2024 Sunreef 80 Eco is being offered at €9.95 million, a current asking price rather than a completed transaction value.

Solar generation and electric propulsion

Sunreef built THE IDLER with integrated photovoltaic surfaces, electrically driven propulsion and hydro-generation equipment that can recover energy while sailing.
