Burgess has been appointed joint central agent for 24.4m electric Sunreef 80 Eco THE IDLER, listed at €9.95m after a 2024 delivery.
Burgess announced on 7 September 2026 that it had been appointed joint central agent for the 24.4-metre sailing catamaran THE IDLER. The 2024 Sunreef 80 Eco is being offered at €9.95 million, a current asking price rather than a completed transaction value.
The yacht combines electrically driven propulsion with a wide multihull platform and was listed for viewing around the September Cannes and Monaco yacht shows. Interested buyers should confirm its present location, viewing arrangements, taxes and sale status with the appointed brokers.
Sunreef built THE IDLER with integrated photovoltaic surfaces, electrically driven propulsion and hydro-generation equipment that can recover energy while sailing. Burgess also specifies a lithium battery system, although the published description uses a power rating rather than a verified usable capacity figure in kilowatt-hours.
The broker reports that the yacht sailed for more than seven days during an Atlantic passage without needing its generator, while maintaining normal hotel services including air conditioning. This is a reported passage example, not a promise of the same generator-free endurance under different weather, speed or energy-demand conditions.
The catamaran measures 11.5 metres across the beam and accommodates eight guests in four double cabins. Its owner's suite has a fold-down balcony, while the other cabins and saloon are designed around open living spaces.
On deck, the advertised arrangement includes lounging and dining areas on the flybridge, foredeck and aft deck. Buyers should verify the yacht's current equipment inventory and any modifications during a survey, because listing photographs and specifications are subject to change.
The asking price is distinct from the future cost of batteries, propulsion maintenance, charging facilities and annual operations. A technical inspection should review battery health, electrical safety, charging interfaces, hydro-generation operation and the records supporting the Atlantic passage.
The official Burgess listing provides the specification and enquiry route, while Sunreef Yachts is the original builder. THE IDLER is 24.4 metres as stated by Burgess, so this listing falls within Superyacht Guide's fleet coverage rather than its sister site's under-24-metre scope.
