Sunseeker 90 Ocean Leads Superyacht Presence at Southampton Boat Show 2026

Southampton International Boat Show 2026 has a genuine superyacht presence within its much broader display of leisure boats, watersports craft and marine equipment. The 27.1-metre Sunseeker 90 Ocean is officially the largest boat at this year’s event, while Princess Yachts is displaying the 25.11-metre X80.

Both yachts fall within Superyacht Guide’s 24-metre-plus fleet definition. Their presence gives Southampton a small but relevant crossover into the superyacht market, even though the event remains very different in scale and focus from dedicated large-yacht shows such as Monaco.

Sunseeker 90 Ocean is Southampton’s largest yacht

The Southampton International Boat Show organiser identifies the Sunseeker 90 Ocean as the largest boat at the 2026 show, measuring 27.1 metres overall. Sunseeker has also confirmed that the yacht is taking centre stage in its Mayflower Park display throughout the ten-day event.

The 90 Ocean is designed around substantially increased usable volume and a strong connection between the interior and the water. Its stern arrangement incorporates a large beach-club area, while the model’s wider beam and raised deck spaces are intended to provide considerably more outdoor and interior living space than a conventional performance yacht of similar length.

For Southampton visitors, the yacht provides a relatively rare opportunity to inspect a vessel that sits clearly above the 24-metre superyacht threshold without moving into the much larger custom-yacht market. It also gives Sunseeker a flagship presence at an important domestic show close to its manufacturing base in Dorset.

Princess X80 adds a second confirmed 24m-plus yacht

Princess Yachts is displaying the X80 as part of a five-yacht Southampton line-up that also includes the Y72, S65, F58 and V50. At 25.11 metres overall, the X80 also qualifies for inclusion within the Superyacht Guide fleet.

Princess developed the X80 around its Super Flybridge concept, which the builder says provides around 30 percent more useful interior space than a conventional flybridge yacht of comparable length. The arrangement extends the enclosed upper-deck accommodation while retaining substantial exterior areas for guests.

The yacht can accommodate eight guests across four en-suite cabins and is offered with twin MAN V12 engines. Depending on the engine specification, Princess quotes maximum speeds of up to 30 knots.

More than 250 boats fill the Southampton marina

The 2026 Southampton International Boat Show runs from 18 to 27 September at Mayflower Park. Organisers say more than 500 watercraft are represented across the event, including over 250 boats in the purpose-built show marina.

That makes Southampton one of the broadest marine exhibitions in the UK rather than a dedicated superyacht gathering. Its displays stretch from paddleboards, RIBs and sailing boats through to larger luxury motor yachts, equipment manufacturers and marine-service companies.

The 90 Ocean therefore marks the upper limit of the 2026 fleet rather than the beginning of a large collection of 40-metre-plus yachts. For Superyacht Guide readers, the value of the event lies particularly in the 24-to-30-metre crossover sector and the large number of technical companies serving both recreational boating and larger-yacht markets.

Southampton retains a wider superyacht industry role

The show’s relevance to the large-yacht sector extends beyond the two confirmed 24-metre-plus yachts. Superyacht UK is also staging its 2026 Young Designer Competition at Southampton, supported by companies including Sunseeker, Princess Yachts, RWD, Cockwells and Winch Design.

Equipment and service companies represented at the wider show include businesses operating across navigation, marine electronics, propulsion, coatings, marina infrastructure and yacht equipment. This overlap makes Southampton useful for monitoring technology that may first appear on smaller production yachts before being adapted for larger vessels.

Southampton should therefore not be viewed as a smaller version of Monaco Yacht Show. Instead, it occupies a different position in the market: a major UK boating exhibition with a limited but genuine superyacht fleet, strong representation from British yacht builders and a substantial technical and marine-industry presence.

For 2026, the Sunseeker 90 Ocean and Princess X80 provide the clearest connection between those two markets. With both exceeding 24 metres, Southampton International Boat Show belongs on Superyacht Guide’s event-monitoring calendar as well as on the wider leisure-boating circuit.
