Vanquish Yachts presented two VQ58 chase boats at Monaco, demonstrating how the aluminium platform can be configured around superyacht support, diving and independent use.
Vanquish Yachts used the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show to present two VQ58 chase boats at berths S23 and S24 in Port Hercule. The display focused on the platform’s role alongside larger superyachts, including the bespoke VQ58 Adventure with specialist diving equipment, advanced seabed mapping and additional fuel capacity.
Vanquish argues that a modern chase boat should match the quality, performance and purpose of the superyacht it supports rather than functioning as an afterthought. The VQ58 is built in aluminium and can be configured extensively around owner requirements, materials, equipment and deck layout.
That approach reflects the growing role of larger support boats that remain outside the yacht’s garage and operate independently over meaningful distances. They may carry guests, equipment and crew, support watersports or provide faster shore access while the mothership remains anchored farther offshore.
One of the Monaco yachts, Adventure, was developed around a highly specific operating profile. Dedicated storage for diving equipment and carbon-dioxide bottles is integrated into the boat, allowing specialist gear to remain organised without compromising the guest areas that define the VQ58 platform.
The yacht also carries a WASSP multibeam system capable of detailed seabed mapping to depths of up to 1,000 metres. That equipment moves Adventure beyond routine tender duties and gives the owner a tool for exploring anchorages and underwater terrain in a more deliberate way.
Adventure carries a 2,000-litre fuel tank as part of its bespoke technical specification. Extra endurance is particularly useful for a chase boat expected to operate independently from the mothership, reposition ahead of it or support diving and exploration away from established marina infrastructure.
Range on a support boat is not only about distance because reserve fuel can also provide operational flexibility when weather or itinerary changes delay a planned return. The engineering trade-off is the additional weight and space required, which has to be considered with performance and passenger load.
Showing two VQ58s within the Monaco superyacht environment places the product directly in front of owners, captains, designers and shipyards involved in mothership projects. That audience can evaluate the chase boat as part of a wider operating package rather than as an isolated production model.
For Vanquish, the proposition is that the platform can extend the owner’s programme beyond the larger yacht while retaining a consistent level of finish and performance. The Monaco display therefore served as both a product showcase and a project-development opportunity for future bespoke builds.
