Videoworks has detailed AV-over-IP, communications, secure networking and automation equipment integrated aboard the 67.55m CRN AMOR À VIDA.
Videoworks has detailed the audiovisual, automation, IT and communications systems supplied for the 67.55-metre CRN superyacht AMOR À VIDA. In a report published on 12 October 2026, the specialist described a digital installation combining entertainment distribution, secure connectivity, lighting controls and centralised equipment monitoring.
The announcement concerns equipment integrated into an existing CRN vessel rather than a new launch or a second yacht delivery. Videoworks says its approach was designed for owner use as well as the requirements of guests and crew during charter operations.
Videoworks says the yacht uses dedicated technical racks to hold its central audiovisual and network equipment. Grouping infrastructure in managed spaces can make fault-finding, maintenance and hardware replacement more practical during demanding periods of operation.
On a vessel of this size, information, entertainment and operational services travel across numerous deck areas. Their reliability depends on properly designed cabling, power protection and accessible technical spaces as much as on the advertised capability of individual devices.
The installation uses an IP-based infrastructure to distribute high-definition video and premium audio between guest spaces. Videoworks describes the platform as flexible enough to support changing entertainment requirements without requiring every signal to use a dedicated point-to-point connection.
Centralised distribution can simplify the management of content sources, but it places greater importance on network capacity and redundancy. Owners and engineers need clear drawings and documented configuration settings so later refit work does not inadvertently interrupt essential services.
Crestron automation allows guests and crew to interact with entertainment, lighting and other connected functions through familiar touchscreen devices. Videoworks has also developed an application intended for the electro-technical officer to monitor equipment and perform diagnostic tasks.
Remote device resets and central visibility may reduce the need to reach every equipment rack for a minor fault. However, privileged controls should have appropriate permissions and logging, especially where a system could affect a large number of rooms simultaneously.
AMOR À VIDA uses a mix of low-Earth-orbit satellite links, conventional satellite services and 5G connectivity. The reported system can approach one gigabit per second in favourable conditions, although that figure depends on available networks, equipment and the operating environment.
The vessel also has VoIP communications with an Iridium-supported voice option. No single advertised speed should be used as a guarantee of service during offshore passages because coverage, weather, congestion and network-routing arrangements affect real-world results.
The company describes international television, streaming services, shared media libraries and the Yachteye information platform among the guest-facing features. Entertainment has also been extended outside with a panoramic cinema area and arrangements suitable for temporary events.
Outdoor equipment must contend with salt air, changing light and weather exposure, while the crew needs reliable ways to isolate or service devices. Lighting scenes using the Lutron system are part of the overall experience rather than a substitute for required marine lighting.
Videoworks identifies crew communications, bridge announcements, CCTV and secure wireless coverage across guest and technical areas. Staff accommodation is also fitted with smart televisions, reflecting how entertainment services support both guests and the people working aboard.
The distinction between personal guest access and professional operational communication should remain clear. Bridge systems, cameras and crew networks require permissions and procedures appropriate to their different roles in security and daily operations.
The supplier says cybersecurity considerations formed part of the system design from an early stage. Remote monitoring and technical support through the company's operations service are intended to give operators help with emerging problems after handover.
External monitoring can assist the crew but also creates access-management obligations. Captains and technical managers should maintain records of authorised connections, response responsibilities and procedures for isolating equipment in an incident.
The company's report provides an unusually detailed description of the networked technology on a 67.55-metre custom superyacht. It illustrates the increasing role played by audiovisual and IT specialists beyond conventional television and music equipment.
The published account does not amount to independent performance certification of every component or a guarantee of uninterrupted worldwide connectivity. Its importance lies in showing how entertainment, automation, monitoring and communications can be integrated as one managed onboard system.
