Videoworks has detailed the integrated AV, IT, communications and cybersecurity architecture aboard the 67.55m CRN superyacht Amor à Vida.
Videoworks has disclosed the integrated digital architecture installed aboard the 67.55m CRN Amor à Vida, detailing how entertainment, IT, communications, automation and cybersecurity were brought together across the yacht. The 27 August release provides a new technical view of the 2025-delivered yacht rather than revisiting its launch or show appearances.
The project places Videoworks at the centre of the yacht's onboard technology stack, with the company responsible for design, integration and commissioning of the AV, IT and communications systems. The installation combines guest-facing entertainment with the less visible networks, connectivity and monitoring needed to keep a large custom yacht operating securely.
The entertainment system is built around an AV-over-IP architecture, allowing audio and video to be distributed across the yacht through the network rather than through conventional point-to-point cabling. Crestron control brings the various functions together for guests and crew, while streaming, TVRO and the Yachteye information platform form part of the wider entertainment package.
Videoworks also integrated Lutron lighting control into the onboard environment, linking lighting with the broader user-experience system rather than treating it as a standalone installation. That approach reflects the increasing overlap between entertainment, cabin control and vessel-wide digital infrastructure on large custom yachts.
Connectivity is designed around multiple communications paths, combining low-Earth-orbit satellite services, conventional satellite links and 5G. Videoworks says the system can approach 1 Gbit/s under favourable conditions, giving the yacht substantial bandwidth while preserving alternative routes when one network is unavailable or unsuitable.
Iridium-based voice communications add another layer of resilience, while secured vessel-wide Wi-Fi distributes connectivity to guests and crew. The result is not a single internet connection but a managed communications environment able to switch between different technologies according to coverage, performance and operational requirements.
The release also places cybersecurity inside the core technology specification rather than presenting it as a later add-on. Secure network design, CCTV, controlled communications and remote monitoring are integrated into the same architecture that supports entertainment and connectivity, reflecting the growing exposure of large yachts to cyber and network-security risks.
Videoworks supports the installation through its Network Operations Centre, providing 24/7 remote monitoring and technical assistance. That continuing shore-side oversight is increasingly important as yachts carry more connected devices and rely on complex combinations of satellite, cellular, automation and entertainment systems.
CRN Yachts records Amor à Vida as a 67.55m full-custom yacht launched in 2025, and Superyacht Guide's existing fleet record identifies the same vessel as YachtPage 13143. The yacht therefore already has an established profile, allowing the new Videoworks disclosure to be treated as a technology update rather than another launch or delivery story.
The existing yacht profile also gives the project an exact internal relationship for this article, while Videoworks is the principal company behind the newly disclosed systems.
