Vitters used METSTRADE to present its service operation, refit support and new-build projects scheduled to reach the water in 2026.
Vitters used its METSTRADE presence to focus attention on the support required after a yacht leaves the new-build yard. The company’s service team presented maintenance planning, refit work and ongoing technical assistance for the fleet.
Large sailing yachts can operate globally for decades, making structured service planning increasingly important. Vitters positions that long-term support as part of the original build relationship rather than a separate business.
The shipyard’s new-build team also used the show to discuss yachts currently in construction and projects expected to reach the water during 2026. That gives suppliers and industry partners a view of the technical workload moving through the yard.
METSTRADE is particularly relevant because many of the specialist companies supplying rigs, electronics and technical systems are present at the same event. Builders can therefore combine client meetings with detailed supplier discussions.
Information from maintenance and refit work feeds back into later yacht design. Components that prove difficult to access, service or replace can be reconsidered during the engineering of new projects.
Vitters’ presentation therefore connected two parts of the business that are often discussed separately. The yard’s future build programme benefits directly from the experience accumulated across yachts already in operation.
