The asking price of the 32.55-metre Wallycento SPIRIT OF MALOUEN X has been reduced from €6.1 million to €4.5 million VAT paid, according to a 1 September announcement from Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage. The €1.6 million adjustment is the yacht’s second recent price reduction and represents a cut of about 26% from the previous asking figure.
The 2012 sailing yacht is currently offered for sale in Palma de Mallorca. Originally launched as HAMILTON, and later known as OPEN SEASON, she is one of the carbon-composite Wallycento yachts created around the idea of combining grand-prix racing performance with a level of interior comfort and cruising capability that would still make sense for private ownership.
SPIRIT OF MALOUEN X was built by Green Marine for Wally Yachts, with naval architecture by Judel/Vrolijk & Co and interior design by Design Unlimited. Wally’s current brokerage material describes the yacht as a Wallycento performance cruiser-racer, reflecting a programme in which light displacement, carbon construction and sail-handling efficiency were central to the original brief.
The yacht’s current length of 32.55 metres reflects a later extension to the original Wallycento platform. Delivered in 2012 as HAMILTON, the yacht subsequently raced under the name OPEN SEASON before becoming SPIRIT OF MALOUEN X.
