Yacht Club de Monaco reiterates a 411-company, 1,400-plus onshore-job industry footprint and details September events and the SEA Index marina network.
Yacht Club de Monaco has outlined the scale of the principality's yachting sector in a release dated 15 September 2026, citing 411 companies and more than 1,400 shore-based jobs. The figures illustrate the work carried out on land by brokers, managers, service providers and other businesses as well as the activity of yachts visiting local marinas.
These are figures repeated by the club in its current announcement, not the result of a newly identified September employment census. The release does not define a fresh survey period or provide a comparable previous-year count, so it cannot be used to calculate a new jobs growth rate.
The club's programme includes the sixth Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous on 20–21 September and the Monaco Yacht Show on 23–26 September. The marina gathering is organised by M3 Monaco and is intended to connect infrastructure operators, designers, manufacturers and investors working on port development.
A Captains' Forum on 24 September will examine future energy sources for vessels and yachts, including the practicality of different propulsion pathways. Yacht Club de Monaco says Jutheau Husson, Oceanco, MB92 Group and ICON Yachts are involved as partners, while an October industry pop-up is also on its calendar.
The club says more than 25 marinas have joined its SEA Index network across locations including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Seychelles and Japan. Established in 2020, the system is intended to provide comparable environmental indicators for yachts measuring at least ten metres in length.
Yacht Club de Monaco says Lloyd's Register independently certifies the approach to assessing carbon dioxide emissions, while an air-quality indicator developed with AtmoSud considers nitrogen oxides and fine particles. The release does not claim that membership of the network makes every participating yacht emissions-free or proves an individual marina meets every sustainability objective.
The programme combines commercial networking with questions about workforce capability, berth infrastructure and the operational feasibility of new technologies. Bernard d'Alessandri, the club's director and general secretary, presents Monaco's concentration of owners and industry professionals as a basis for bringing businesses and public authorities into contact.
