The 2008-built, 2024-refitted 98ft Azimut KOUKLES will be offered by Boathouse Auctions on 4 November in Greece, with no reserve and expected opening bids near €750,000.

The 98-foot Azimut motor yacht KOUKLES is due to go under the hammer in a no-reserve online auction on 4 November 2026. The yacht, lying in Greece, carries an advertised asking price of €2.5 million while the official Boathouse Auctions listing indicates anticipated opening bids of €750,000.

The announced prices serve different purposes. An anticipated opening level is not a completed transaction or a guaranteed sale price; bidders also need to budget for an eight percent buyer's premium and the other sale conditions set out in the auction documents.

Four guest cabins for nine

According to the organiser's particulars, KOUKLES provides nine guest berths in four en-suite staterooms, supported by accommodation for six crew. The full-beam owner suite is complemented by a forward VIP, two twin cabins and a Pullman berth in one of the guest rooms.

Layout details are important because similarly sized Azimut motor yachts may have different cabin arrangements after refit work. A prospective purchaser should obtain the current general-arrangement drawings and inspect guest circulation, safety exits and the condition of fittings before relying on the marketing plan.

Azimut construction and Italian design

Built in 2008 by Azimut, the yacht carries exterior styling by Stefano Righini and interiors credited to Carlo Galeazzi. Her planing motor-yacht form combines large exterior deck spaces with a social upper deck and a traditional lower-deck guest accommodation arrangement.

Design heritage can help explain the yacht's proportions, but it is not a guarantee of current technical condition. The practical questions for buyers concern the machinery and structure, the quality of subsequent modifications and whether each installed system has been properly documented.

The 2023–2024 upgrade programme

The seller's refit summary covers engine overhaul work, replaced teak decking, improved refrigeration, repaired air conditioning, and maintenance to components including stabilisers, thrusters, pumps and windlasses. KOUKLES also received earlier exterior repainting, with the organiser identifying work in 2017.

A list of maintenance activities is valuable only when supported by evidence. Buyers should compare work orders and receipts with survey recommendations, ask about any remaining deficiencies, and establish which items were replaced as opposed to inspected or serviced.

Sundeck jacuzzi and outside entertaining

The upper deck includes a jacuzzi, sunpads, bar and retractable shade, while the foredeck adds sofas, tables and further space for guests. This arrangement is intended to support the day-to-day pattern of Mediterranean cruising, with guests moving between swimming, relaxing and dining.

Water features, exterior seating and moving shade elements require regular upkeep and responsible operation in suitable weather. The vessel's drainage, deck fittings, rails and jacuzzi systems should all be assessed during inspection, as equipment condition strongly influences usable comfort.

Stabilisation underway and at anchor

The sales description refers to active stabilisation while the yacht is moving and zero-speed stabilisers for use at anchor. Such equipment can improve guest comfort, particularly when several hours are spent at an exposed anchorage rather than inside the shelter of a harbour.

Proper operation depends on the condition of the fins, actuators, hydraulic systems and associated controls. The seller lists stabiliser servicing among the refit activities, but an independent engineer should still test operation and establish the intervals for further maintenance.

What no-reserve means for bidders

The 4 November event is promoted as a no-reserve auction, with opening bids expected around €750,000. The seller's €2.5 million listing price is a separate marketing figure and should not be reported as either the minimum acceptable bid or the value of an agreed contract.

The auction organiser publishes an eight percent buyer's premium and also describes a conditional incentive for early bids. The precise mechanics of deposits, credits and completion are governed by the sale documents, which potential participants must review rather than infer from headline prices.

Charter history and future operating costs

Boathouse Auctions describes KOUKLES as a yacht with previous charter activity. This may appeal to buyers interested in commercial operation, but the fact of historical chartering does not establish current licensing, the revenue available to a new owner or future booking demand.

A 30-metre yacht brings substantial recurring commitments for crew, dockage, insurance, fuel and refit work. Any purchase budget needs to include those expenditure categories and consider the yacht's flag and intended use in addition to the auction settlement.

A sale outcome remains to be confirmed

The upcoming auction provides a fixed date for the market to assess the vessel, its 2024 refit and its equipment package. The official listing also makes reference to technical documentation that should be requested before any binding bid is submitted.

No purchaser or hammer price has yet been verified, and the value ultimately realised will depend on competition and completion conditions. For now, the confirmed story is that the Italian-built Azimut KOUKLES is entering a scheduled no-reserve sale in Greece.
