Denison has released a detailed video walkthrough of 39.6m Heesen LADY LUCY, a privately operated 2001 yacht now offered for sale at €8.495 million.

Denison Yachting has released a full video tour of the 39.6-metre Heesen LADY LUCY, currently offered for sale at €8.495 million in Palma. Delivered in 2001 and kept in private ownership rather than charter service, the yacht has undergone major refits in 2018, 2020 and 2024 followed by further maintenance work during 2026.

A 2001 Heesen has received repeated investment

Denison says LADY LUCY has remained owner-maintained throughout her life and carries complete maintenance records together with uninterrupted ABS classification. The 2026 work package addressed running gear, stabilisers, hull antifouling and the addition of Starlink satellite connectivity.

For buyers evaluating an older Northern European yacht, maintenance history can be as important as the original build specification. Regular refits can reduce immediate capital requirements and provide clearer evidence of how machinery, coatings and onboard systems have been managed over time.

Range and machinery support long-distance cruising

Twin Caterpillar 3412C engines rated at 825 horsepower each give LADY LUCY a reported top speed of 12.3 knots and cruising speed of 10 knots. Denison quotes a range of 3,500 nautical miles, while twin 65kW Northern Lights generators support hotel loads during extended operation.

Naiad zero-speed stabilisers improve comfort both underway and at anchor, an important feature for a yacht that may spend long periods in exposed anchorages. The comparatively modest propulsion output also reflects a displacement cruising brief focused more on range and endurance than high speed.

Art Deco interiors include an elevator across four decks

The yacht’s interior uses polished gloss woodwork, mirrored accents and stronger lacquered finishes in an Art Deco-inspired scheme. The main saloon benefits from large windows, while the main-deck owner’s suite and four guest cabins provide accommodation for eight guests.

A notable feature added during the 2018 refit is an elevator connecting all four decks. That is unusual on a yacht of this size and can materially improve accessibility for owners or guests who find repeated stair use difficult during longer periods onboard.

The video tour adds detail to the sales process

LADY LUCY is currently lying in Palma and is represented by Denison broker David Johnson. The newly released walkthrough allows potential buyers to examine the layout, finish and technical presentation remotely before deciding whether to arrange an in-person inspection.

Video tours do not replace surveys or physical inspections, but they can make the early brokerage process more efficient when buyers are comparing yachts across different countries. For a mature yacht, visual access to machinery spaces and refitted areas can also help identify the questions a buyer wants answered during due diligence.
