44.2m Bering HEEUS Offered at €25.9m as Charter-Ready Explorer

IYC is offering the 44.2-metre Bering explorer HEEUS for sale at €25.9 million, presenting a sub-500GT long-range yacht that is also active on the charter market. Delivered in 2023 by Bering Yachts, the yacht combines a full-displacement steel hull, aluminium superstructure and hybrid propulsion with accommodation for 12 guests.

HEEUS sits at 499GT, keeping the yacht below the 500GT threshold while still providing six guest cabins and substantial expedition capability. IYC describes the platform as designed for extended cruising, with more than 5,000 nautical miles of range at 10 knots and construction intended for more demanding itineraries.

Hybrid propulsion supports quieter low-speed operation

The hybrid system is intended to improve efficiency and reduce noise during low-speed cruising and manoeuvring, where a large conventional propulsion plant may be operating well below its most efficient load. That can be particularly useful during anchoring, harbour movements and guest operations where machinery noise and vibration have a direct effect on comfort.

HEEUS also has a reinforced ice belt and a 2,721kg-rated hydraulic crane for tender handling, reinforcing the yacht's explorer role beyond styling alone. Those features give the crew more independence when operating away from established marina infrastructure, although route planning and ice operations still depend on classification, weather, local rules and professional navigation judgement.

Six cabins and 499GT target extended stays aboard

The interior accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a main-deck owner's suite, and is supported by accommodation for a crew of nine. IYC describes the styling as Scandinavian-inspired, with large windows and an emphasis on light, warm materials suited to guests spending long periods aboard.

Exterior amenities include a large sun deck and a beach-club and wellness area, balancing the technical character of the explorer platform with conventional charter expectations. The yacht's charter listing also confirms active availability, which gives prospective buyers an existing commercial-use profile rather than a yacht being introduced to charter only after a sale.

The €25.9m ask combines sale and charter-market evidence

HEEUS is currently marketed for sale at €25.9 million, while IYC separately offers the yacht for charter in Mediterranean and Caribbean regions. That dual position can give a buyer useful evidence on how the yacht is presented commercially, although historic bookings and future revenue should never be assumed without examining the charter accounts and management records.

For buyers comparing explorer yachts around 40 to 45 metres, the combination of 499GT volume, long range and hybrid propulsion creates a different proposition from a conventional displacement motor yacht.
