A new Camper & Nicholsons profile details how the 55m Tankoa yacht LOEWE uses a movable-floor pool, DJ deck and integrated sound system for entertaining.
Camper & Nicholsons has published a new close look at the 55-metre Tankoa motor yacht LOEWE, setting out how its owner and design team developed a vessel around sociable entertaining as well as conventional luxury cruising. The yacht is also offered for sale through the brokerage, giving the October profile immediate relevance to buyers assessing her particular specification.
The article adds detail beyond a standard listing by explaining why individual spaces were altered and how they function together. LOEWE is one of two T55 Sportiva yachts launched in close succession, but her customised entertainment areas show how strongly an owner’s intended use can shape vessels built from a common technical platform.
LOEWE measures 55 metres and is reported at 499 gross tons, with exterior design by Luca Dini. The relatively low enclosed-volume figure for her length is part of the design equation: a substantial portion of the yacht’s form is directed towards elongated outdoor decks rather than a maximum-volume superstructure.
Gross tonnage measures enclosed volume and is not a measure of displacement or mass. The arrangement illustrates a trade-off that matters to an owner: some yachts concentrate on expansive interior cabins and salons, while others dedicate more of their length and budget to open terraces and movement between deck levels.
The brokerage describes more than 100 square metres of outdoor space descending from the aft main deck through a pool terrace to the beach club. That sequence is central to the yacht’s entertaining concept, offering multiple groups of guests different vantage points without separating them into isolated parts of the vessel.
A successful open-air layout must also function during ordinary cruising, not only at a dockside party. Shade, circulation, wind exposure, wet surfaces, stewarding access and privacy all influence how comfortably guests use such terraces at anchor, particularly when swimming and watersports operations share the same aft platform.
Among the most distinctive details is a roughly nine-square-metre pool with a moving floor that can rise flush with the surrounding deck. LOEWE’s main deck also incorporates a DJ position, bar and modular furniture chosen to make the space adaptable to music-led gatherings.
The mechanism gives the owner the option to switch from waterfront relaxation to an evening event setting without dedicating a permanent full-size dance space. For a future buyer, the distinctive engineering brings corresponding maintenance and inspection questions, so operation of the movable pool floor should form part of technical due diligence.
Camper & Nicholsons says LOEWE’s audiovisual installation was considered during the original design rather than added once the yacht was complete. Connections for live music, subwoofers and immersive sound form part of the concept, while a Loewe television appears as a visible object within the upper saloon.
This integrated approach is more complex than placing extra speakers into existing furniture. Cable routes, vibration isolation, power demand, acoustic separation and technical support affect the result, especially when one group of guests wants music while others wish to use their cabins or quieter guest areas.
Despite the emphasis on entertaining, the six-cabin arrangement accommodates up to twelve guests. The owner’s suite occupies a forward position on the main deck with access to a private outdoor terrace, while five guest cabins are positioned on the lower deck, according to the published profile.
Camper & Nicholsons notes that the yacht’s intended charter use influenced the flexibility of the lower-deck accommodation. A prospective owner should study the cabin configurations and the guest elevator alongside the public entertaining spaces to judge whether the layout suits family use, commercial charters or a mixture of both.
The beach-club arrangement opens into a dedicated wellness centre containing a gym, sauna and hammam. A drop-down terrace improves access to the water, while a large window crossing the waterline creates what the designers refer to as a Nemo Room for observing the marine environment from onboard.
Those facilities change the rhythm of the yacht. Quiet exercise, spa use and underwater observation provide alternatives to music and large gatherings, making the vessel potentially more useful across different ages and preferences within a charter party; the practical value depends on how consistently these systems are maintained and operated.
The October feature provides a more specific understanding of LOEWE than her dimensions and guest capacity alone. It documents a coherent owner-led concept linking terraces, convertible pool, music infrastructure, accommodation and wellness facilities, while confirming that Camper & Nicholsons is marketing the yacht for sale.
For purchasers, such individuality is both the attraction and a reason for deeper inspection. A bespoke vessel may align precisely with a buyer’s lifestyle but require particular operating skills and technical support; the published details provide a useful basis for questions rather than replacing a current specification and independent survey.
