Acquera Group Acquires Majority Stake in Wilsonhalligan

Acquera Group has acquired a majority stake in Wilsonhalligan, bringing the UK specialist recruitment company into its wider yachting-services group. The transaction adds recruitment expertise to Acquera's service platform while allowing Wilsonhalligan to continue operating under its established identity and management.

Wilsonhalligan was founded in 2007 and specialises in recruitment for the superyacht, maritime shoreside and private-household sectors. The company works internationally, sourcing personnel for yacht owners, shipyards, marine businesses and private residences.

Recruitment joins Acquera's service platform

Acquera describes the acquisition as another step in its strategy to build a more integrated ecosystem of services around the yachting industry. Recruitment gives the group a direct position in the people side of yacht operations, complementing the wider services already provided to owners, captains and professional operators.

The logic is particularly relevant to large-yacht operations because crew and shore-based specialists are fundamental to keeping complex yachts operational. Recruitment therefore extends Acquera's role beyond coordinating services around the yacht and into sourcing the people required to manage, operate and support those assets.

Wilsonhalligan keeps its brand and management

The acquisition does not mean Wilsonhalligan disappears into the Acquera name. The company will continue to operate with its existing brand, identity and management structure, preserving continuity for clients and candidates while becoming part of a larger international group.

Liam Dobbin remains Managing Director and Nicola Morgan remains a Director of Wilsonhalligan. Acquera's release presents that continuity as an important part of the transaction, combining Wilsonhalligan's specialist recruitment knowledge with the broader reach and resources of the group.
