The 80-metre Amels programme is large enough that successive hulls can easily become confused in headlines. Damen Yachting currently lists Amels 8004 as an in-build project with a 2027 delivery year, separately from other Amels 80 vessels and later build slots. The current listing is a status check, not a new sale or launch announcement on 28 September.

Keep the hull number in focus

The same builder lists Amels 8005 for 2027 and 8006 for 2028, showing why an unqualified reference to 'the next Amels 80' is not reliable. Hull numbers are essential when a range has several active projects at different stages.

This report concerns 8004 only, using its specifically labelled project image. Photographs of completed sisterships must not be passed off as the unfinished hull, even where exterior design shares a family identity.

Where the construction programme sits

Damen Yachting reported a new 80-metre hull arriving in Vlissingen in January 2026 after launch from its Romanian hull facility. The yard described outfitting as the next phase, including advanced systems and bespoke interiors.
