Azimut confirms two existing models will be showcased at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale yacht show, highlighting their distinct design and performance features.

Azimut's Fort Lauderdale 2026 Line-Up

Azimut has listed the Magellano 30M and Grande 30M as part of its planned display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2026, set to run from 28 October to 1 November. The event will take place at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, with Azimut’s booth located in Dock F. The Magellano 30M, a mid-sized superyacht, and the Grande 30M, a slightly shorter model, are among the key vessels highlighted in the official lineup. The show will feature a range of Azimut models, including the Verve 48 and Fly 82, but the focus remains on the two 30-meter yachts as central offerings for the 2026 season.

The Azimut booth will be positioned directly in front of Dock E, within the Dock F area, offering visitors a prime viewing location for the displayed yachts. The event’s opening hours are structured to accommodate both industry professionals and the public, with the Prime Preview on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The official list of yachts on display is subject to change, reflecting the dynamic nature of the boat show. The Magellano 30M and Grande 30M are expected to showcase Azimut’s latest design and engineering capabilities, tailored for the superyacht market.

Magellano 30M: Hull and Interior Design

The Magellano 30M, with a length of 29.7 metres and a beam of 7.06 metres, features a dual-mode semiplaning hull designed by P.L. Ausonio. This hull type, engineered for efficiency and comfort, allows the yacht to operate at low speeds for extended periods while maintaining stability in various sea conditions. The exterior design, attributed to Ken Freivokh, emphasizes timeless elegance and a connection to the ocean, with high bulwarks and expansive windows enhancing the sense of openness and freedom.

Internally, the Magellano 30M is crafted by Yachtique, a design studio within the Azimut|Benetti Group. The interior spaces reflect a philosophy that merges luxury with a sense of journey, using organic forms and natural colors to create a seamless transition between the yacht’s interior and the surrounding sea. The design prioritizes light, fluidity, and harmony, ensuring that each area enhances the overall experience of onboard living.

Magellano 30M: Accommodation and Propulsion

The Magellano 30M offers a total of five guest cabins and three crew cabins, ensuring a balance between privacy and comfort for both guests and crew. The yacht’s design prioritizes spatial efficiency, with each cabin benefiting from ample natural light and well-organized layouts. The inclusion of three crew cabins underscores Azimut’s focus on long-range cruising, where extended stays require reliable onboard support. The yacht’s accommodations are tailored for both luxury and practicality, reflecting its dual-purpose nature as a vessel for exploration and leisure.

Propulsion on the Magellano 30M is provided by two MAN V12 engines, available in two configurations: 1550 hp or 1900 hp. These engines offer a maximum speed of up to 20 knots or 24 knots, depending on the configuration, with cruise speeds up to 16 knots or 18 knots. The engine options allow for flexibility in balancing speed and fuel efficiency, catering to different cruising preferences. The yacht’s propulsion system is integrated with Azimut’s Dual Mode hull, which enhances navigational comfort and adaptability across varying sea conditions. This combination ensures the Magellano 30M is well-suited for both extended voyages and more dynamic sailing experiences.

Grande 30M: Design and Onboard Spaces

The Grande 30M, with a length overall of 28.69 metres and a beam of 7.3 metres, is designed to offer a seamless blend of luxury and functionality. Its exterior, crafted by Alberto Mancini, features the Deck2Deck™ Terrace and Infinity Skydeck, which create a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The interior, designed by m2atelier, emphasizes contemporary aesthetics with radical beauty through pure lines and material intensity, creating a rigorous yet inviting harmony.

The Grande 30M’s design is further enhanced by the use of carbon fibre in its superstructure, which lightens the yacht without increasing total weight. This innovation improves performance and energy efficiency while allowing for increased interior volume and stability. The D2P® (Displacement-to-Planing) hull, combined with the carbon fibre application, contributes to the yacht’s efficiency and comfort, ensuring a smooth sailing experience. The layout includes five cabins and three crew cabins, providing ample space for both guests and staff.

Grande 30M: Structure and Performance

The Grande 30M is constructed using a combination of carbon fibre and GRP (glass-reinforced plastic), a material choice that Azimut highlights as a pioneering step in reducing superstructure weight. This approach allows for increased interior volume without compromising stability or overall weight, enhancing both performance and energy efficiency. The D2P (Displacement-to-Planing) hull design, which Azimut describes as a key innovation, contributes to the yacht’s efficiency by reducing resistance and improving sailing comfort. The hull’s design features a reduced draft and optimized displacement, supporting the vessel’s handling and stability without the inclusion of a wavepiercer bow.

Powered by twin MTU 1800hp POD units, the Grande 30M is designed to achieve a maximum speed of up to 25 knots. The propulsion system, which utilizes POD technology, enhances manoeuvrability and contributes to the yacht’s overall performance. The vessel accommodates five guest cabins, along with three crew cabins, providing a total of 10 berths and six head compartments, ensuring a balance between luxury and practicality for extended voyages.

Why the Two Models Matter at the Show

Azimut lists the Magellano 30M and Grande 30M as part of its Fort Lauderdale 2026 display, offering superyacht buyers a direct comparison of distinct design briefs. The Magellano 30M, designed by Ken Freivokh, emphasizes long-range cruising with protective bulwarks and expansive windows, while the Grande 30M, by Alberto Mancini, features an Infinity Skydeck and a seamless flow between decks. Both models are tailored for different lifestyles, with the Magellano prioritizing exploration and the Grande focusing on luxury and comfort.

The exhibition allows buyers to evaluate the two models’ dimensions, layouts, and propulsion options. The Magellano 30M has a length of 29.7 meters with 5 guest cabins and 3 crew cabins, while the Grande 30M measures 28.69 meters with 5 guest cabins and 3 crew cabins. The Magellano uses a Dual Mode hull for efficiency, whereas the Grande employs a D2P hull with carbon fiber to reduce weight and improve stability. These differences highlight Azimut’s commitment to innovation and customization for its clientele.
