British Marine's Electrical & Electronics Association conference returns after a two-year break, bringing suppliers, installers and builders together on 25 February.
The British Marine Electrical & Electronics Association Conference will return on 25 February 2027 after a two-year break. The association says the refreshed event will bring manufacturers, suppliers, installers, builders, distributors and consultants together for a full day of technical and industry discussion.
The conference will take place at Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke from 9am to 5pm. It is a scheduled professional event rather than a product launch or a new technical standard.
Modern yachts increasingly combine navigation, communications, monitoring, energy storage, hotel loads and propulsion-related electrical systems on shared networks. That raises questions about installation practice, compatibility, cybersecurity, diagnostics and the skills required to maintain increasingly integrated onboard equipment.
British Marine says the programme will cover current technologies, trends and challenges, although the final speaker and session list should be checked closer to the event. Attendance itself does not confer any technical qualification.
The organisers are targeting people who design, manufacture, install, distribute or advise on marine electrical and electronic systems. That mix can be particularly useful where a fault crosses traditional boundaries between an equipment maker, integrator and yard.
For the superyacht sector, lessons from the wider marine electronics community can feed into refit planning and supplier selection. Vessel-specific work must still comply with class, flag and manufacturer requirements.
British Marine lists member tickets at £75 and non-member tickets at £125, with refreshments, lunch and networking drinks included. An overnight package is also planned for delegates travelling from farther away.
