BSI Marine Equipment Group will bring nine rigging, propulsion, steering, hatch and deck-equipment brands to one stand at METSTRADE 2026 in Amsterdam.

Nine specialists on one stand

BSI Marine Equipment Group has confirmed that representatives from nine brands will attend METSTRADE 2026 in Amsterdam, presenting a combined portfolio of rigging, propellers, steering systems, hatches and deck hardware. The group has invited boatbuilders, refit managers and marine suppliers to stand 12.740 during the November exhibition, emphasising direct conversations with engineers and product specialists.

Rather than announcing a single new yacht installation, the company's October update highlights the breadth of technical equipment managed across its businesses. Its named portfolio includes BSI Rigging, OYS Rigging, Gori Propeller, Easy products, Moonlight, Jefa Steering, Hundested Propeller, Ocean Marine Systems and Lyngaa Marine. These businesses address different subsystems that may all be specified during a complex sailing or motor-yacht build.

Propulsion and steering at opposite ends of the installation

Gori Propeller is known for folding and feathering propulsion solutions used on sailing craft, while Hundested Propeller offers more extensive propeller and propulsion equipment for larger applications. Jefa Steering provides steering-system hardware, and Ocean Marine Systems contributes specialist marine equipment and controls. The relevant products are not interchangeable merely because they share a parent group; loads, vessel size and regulatory requirements vary by application.

For a naval architect or refit engineer, discussing these products together may make it easier to consider propeller operation, shaft systems, steering feedback and servicing provisions early in a project. The best technical result comes from matching each component to the vessel's intended speed, loads and operating environment rather than selecting equipment solely on its appearance at a trade stand.

Rigging, hatches and deck equipment

BSI Rigging and OYS Rigging address yacht rigging systems, where strength, material selection, inspection intervals and load paths are central to performance. Easy products cover blocks and deck fittings, while Moonlight specialises in hatches and portlights. Lyngaa Marine is also part of the supplier group, broadening the range of equipment that can be discussed by visiting yards.

Across a large sailing yacht, multiple interfaces between rigging hardware, deck structure, weather sealing and access arrangements must be agreed before construction. Refits add the constraint of existing geometry and certified specifications. Bringing manufacturers to one venue does not eliminate those engineering steps, but it can simplify early discussion of compatible dimensions, spares and supplier responsibilities.

A technical supply-chain meeting, not a shipyard unveiling

METSTRADE runs from 17 to 19 November 2026 at RAI Amsterdam and includes a specialised area dedicated to superyacht businesses. BSI's participation gives customers a chance to examine its product portfolio and ask about after-sales support, lead times and application-specific documentation.

The official group photograph used here is sourced directly from BSIdk's own website; it illustrates the marine equipment business, not a claimed photograph from the forthcoming METSTRADE event. No new award, specific yacht contract or particular product certification is asserted in the exhibition announcement.

A further benefit of a combined supplier presentation is the opportunity to discuss long-term spares rather than focusing exclusively on new products. Owners operating older yachts may need replacement hatch seals, rigging inspection records, compatible propeller components and steering hardware that remain obtainable years after delivery. Clear model identification and manufacturer documentation can prevent delays when a vessel is in a remote cruising region and a specialist replacement has to be ordered.
