Burgess has identified nine 60m-plus yachts currently available during construction, giving buyers access to large-yacht projects without beginning from a blank sheet.

Burgess has published a new-build market review identifying nine superyachts above 60 metres that are currently available during construction. The list ranges from proven series platforms to highly customised projects and highlights how buyers can enter large-yacht ownership with shorter timelines while retaining varying degrees of personalisation.

Amels platforms bookend the opportunity set

The list includes a 60-metre Amels 60 scheduled for delivery in 2027 and an 80-metre Amels 80 planned for 2030. The smaller yacht is the tenth hull in the established Amels 60 series, while the Amels 80 retains wider scope for owner customisation at a much larger scale.

Both opportunities illustrate the attraction of proven platforms: core engineering and exterior architecture are established, but interior identity and selected systems can still be tailored around the owner’s priorities. That distinction gives buyers a choice between earlier delivery and a larger platform with more design freedom.

PROJECT FAITH and Bilgin 243 add larger-volume choices

Burgess also highlights the 88-metre Dunya PROJECT FAITH, designed by Tim Heywood with interiors by H2 Yacht Design, and a 73-metre Bilgin 243 with nine guest cabins and a forward-facing owner’s suite. Both sit well above the volume of conventional semi-custom yachts.

These projects move beyond the sub-500GT segment into significantly larger internal volumes, bringing dedicated spas, substantial beach clubs, helicopter capability and long-range cruising into the ownership brief. Their scale also places greater emphasis on crew circulation, technical redundancy and long-range logistics.

Hybrid and future-fuel systems feature across the list

Several of the available projects place energy efficiency and future propulsion options at the centre of their technical packages. Burgess references hybrid systems on projects from Turquoise, Heesen and Benetti, while Abeking & Rasmussen’s 70-metre ARUBY concept is designed around diesel-electric pod propulsion and future-fuel readiness.

For buyers entering a multi-year build, this matters because propulsion choices made now will shape operating costs, noise levels and regulatory flexibility for years after delivery. The engineering decision is therefore part of the yacht’s long-term asset strategy, not simply a specification choice.

Construction-stage availability creates strategic choice

The wider list also includes Sanlorenzo’s 74Steel and Benetti’s 85-metre PROJECT LIFE, demonstrating that buyers can choose between series-derived platforms and projects developed with much greater custom scope. Asking prices span well into nine figures, reflecting the scale and complexity of the yachts involved.

For Superyacht Guide readers, the significance is the breadth of choice already in construction. Rather than waiting for a new yard slot, buyers with the right brief can secure a partially developed project and focus their effort on the areas of design and specification that still remain open.
